FMA: Brotherhood

Well considering the amount of action going down and the fact that Brotherhood has been struggling with budget issues since day 1 it’s amazing that half the spectacular battles look even half as awesome as they do.

That said, Episode 57: ;__;

The battle with Wrath part 2 was awesome and the final part will hopefully look awesome as the previous parts did.

Next episode: I hope to god they put some loving budget into the part 2 of the Fuhrer Reject battle because the next episode will be covering the very panel that got me to read the scanilations of FMA instead of waiting for it to come out onto bookshelves. My balls were bluer than fuck after some jackass failed to spoilered that (and it wasn’t even an FMA thread you fuck!!! ARGH!!!).

Ah. I think I know why only three people are being transported to the gate now.

http://www.onemanga.com/Full_Metal_Alchemist/59/02/

There’s eight pairs of people in this picture. The five outer ones represent the blood seals scattered across Amestris, and I’m betting the three inner ones have something to do with the WTF event in the last episode. Or I could just be pulling this out of my ass.

That has nothing to do with what just went down. Those people in that scene were all ingredients for the philosopher stone that they are making.

Besides to do alchemy a five point pentagram is needed, the transmutation was done to drag the three errant sacrifices to whatever Homunculus has cooking up. Speaking of which don’t forget about what was going down between Homunculus and Hohenheim.

Ok, so got another theory then.

Father “is” Alchemy. Since it was only “founded” 350 years prior, and the Xing people find it so strange and unnatural, I assume that all those fucking tubes and shit connecting to father and his throne can only be his power going through the earths crust, which is where Amestrian’s alchemists draw power from ( http://www.onemanga.com/Full_Metal_Alchemist/67/34/ )

Furthermore, I’m guessing his reason into transmuting all of Amestrias (sic) for a bigger stone is so he can spread out even further over time, get more tubes going through his shit, and eventually encompass the world.

Man. Sunday needs to hurry the fuck up.

So, this is an anime about Alchemy. An alchemist points out that he created a homonculus and sends at you his ninja-rejects while scrawling a circle slowly. Let’s hit people with our fists, yeah! Why try to obstruct him? Why burn every molecule of oxygen where our allies aren’t standing. Serves them right, I say.

There’s probably some down time involved in the process of transmuting the air for Mustang to light up which is hard to do when you’re in the middle of getting Zerg Rushed by a bunch of armed super human rejects.

Besides, I don’t think one exactly expects the enemy to sacrifice his own allies for some high powered alchemy shenanigans.

This is significantly closer to being accurate than your previous guess but I’m not going to tell you how close.

After reading through most of the manga already (I’m at 70 right now), it just makes sense the “how” of how everything is working the way it is. They “why” is still gonna hit me like one big “oh SHIT” moment (which I am giddy as a little school girl over). Who knows, maybe Father is going to through one giant pizza party for the world and NOT invite Hoenheim just to express his ill feelings towards him.

I’m just going to wait for the episodes to come out before I read the corresponding manga chapter. No matter how antsy I get.

Fuck “Lost.” This is the tits.

So… episode 58…

SHIT!!!

Also;

Homculagina? Ew… Someone get that thing some vagisil.

So I take it from above that the episode ends with the second half of the Fuhrer Reject Battle then.

Uh, sorta.

Basically, they still need their 5th sacrifice, so Gold-Toothed guy decides to be total bastard and tries to kill Hawkeye to force Mustang into performing human transmutation to open the Door of Truth, so he can become the final sacrifice. Yeah, fuck him. Fuck him hard.

Next Episode: Wrath still lives?! Apparently he doesn’t die easy.

Nope that’s pretty much what I was talking about.

Technically speaking there really wasn’t a part 2 to the Fuhrer Reject Battle. I just made that up to refer to the stuff that you were referring to in your spoilers.

Anyways the manga is well past this point if you REALLY need to read ahead and find out whether or not he takes the plunge.

Also Wrath is still awesome.

I managed not to read one manga spoiler. Yay me.

I’m on #100 right now, so I’m nearly caught up to the anime.

I’m SORELY tempted to press on…

Should I?

Debating just watching something new/rewatching old stuff until they get caught up.

In the original series they said Mustang separates the air into the component gases and ignites the oxygen. Bradley found out that if you disrupt the air flow, Mustang won’t get a clear shot. So, it’s a combination of getting Zerg rushed and not wanting to injure his allies.

Ok I get to be one of the cool kids who’ve finished the manga now and waiting on 108 to come out.

After the whole Scar vs. Wrath fiasco, I had to go receive a man-hug from my roomate and chant ~U-S-A! U-S-A! until the tears stopped.

Mustang: FIGGKZMIDDKRAFUCKA DAMN THIS HAND CLAPPING BULLSHIT THIS SHIT SUCKS! plants a defensive wall half-assed oh wow this hand clapping this is the BEST THING EVVOORRR. Jack-ass Colonel

Any more Mei action and they may have to re-named this shit “Full Metal Mei.”

Holy trees with dicks the rest of the episodes are going to be so dirty we’re gonna need to wear a condom.

Mwahahahahah! Welcome to the dork side. :booster:

So, new chapter. I’m just gonna post this manga page from way back when Lust got killed. After watching this chapter, you’ll probably find it hilarious, provided you are cruel and rotten like me.

I disapprove your use of the word chapter. >_< I thought you were referring to the actual final manga chapter coming out for a moment despite how utterly impossible that is right now.

That said, I’m glad one of us posted that. Heh.

Kagato: You should be well aware of what we’re referring to. That means no telling or even spoilering.

So Ep. 59…

FUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCKKKKKKK!

Wow, that is some bullshit right there. Pride forcing Mustang to open the Gate and lose his eyesight! WTF?! Looks like Pride won’t be around for too much longer though (I assume the whole transmutation mess took a pretty good toll on him).

Also, Al probably shouldn’t had come back. Just saying, seeing as major shit is planned to go down next episode.

Wrath vs. Scar should shape up to be pretty epic. Yay!

Edit: I see what you were referring to with that panel now, SE. Cruel indeed.
If he didn’t come back willingly I’m sure Father would have dragged him back in his emaciated body. It would have been another advantage for them.

The way they took his sight just makes it harder to restore. Who knows haw advanced alchemic medicine is but I’m sure it’s harder to replace a part of your brain than an eyeball.
