FMA: Brotherhood

What about Wrath’s ridiculously quick speed? I could understand the whole bullet time with the Eye, but there’s also times where he’s just flat out moving/attacking way too fast for anyone else (re: the 1st Greed). The other thing I was gonna mention was that it may have other properties. Like when Wrath kills that snake-girl in Al’s armor. Could it have some pseudo x-ray properties or some BS like that?

The Ultimate Eye shows Wrath the path to victory and survival. He can see the best course of action at any given time and act on it. That’s it.

ALL the rest is just because he’s insanely well-trained. Cue the other Fhürer-candidates for example, those guys were fully human, if mentally obliterated.

I think Wrath’s eye has an ability that can see the future similar to Knight of One in Code Geass. He can see the attack coming and can counter at the right time.

Do keep in mind that as well as the Ultimate Eye he does house a Philosopher’s Stone. Even though he can’t regenerate (to as best of our knowledge, but still, Ultimate Eye, why heal when you don’t get hit?), the stone, in theory, amps his natural abilities he developed along the other past candidates.

This episode should’ve been called “Sword Nazi’s vs Tanks vs Ninj-whatthefucOHSHI-”

I lol’ed when Father got his shit ruined by the souls he absorbed from Hoenheim, even though he came back as the freaky shadow-eye thing. I’m sensing some sort of tie-in between Father’s new form and the white man (Truth, was it?) at the Gate.

Actually, I’m pretty sure he doesn’t. Remember the flashback when he’s turned into a homunculus, the stone broke down completely as his own mind won over the invasion. It’s probably exactly why he can’t heal like the others.

FMA Manga chapter 107: I’ve probably been saying the exact same thing about each chapter since it hit 100 but:

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!

Ep. 56 - The Return of the Fuhrer

So not much really happened…at least that’s what I thought. Still a pretty good episode.

Wrath pwns an assload of people and a tank, and skewers Buccaneer. Greed tries to fight him, but doesn’t really do much. Then old man Fu shows up ready to kick some ass. Then there was the whole Father transformation BS that Kagato mentioned.

So next episode: Fu vs. Wrath: Battle to the Death?

Yep. Read that a few days ago too. And I completely agree with your statement.

Also (MAJOR MANGA SPOILERS)It looks like Mustang really does need a new nickname now.

The OVAs are nothing special by the way. Not bad, but don’t worry if you can’t find them.

Episode 56: Why should I go through the back door? I am the king of this castle.

That said, awesome episode, the tank trying to escape it’s fate was a nice touch. Also Falman got his moment in the sun as well as Buccaneer, and Greedling and Fuu are up next.

Next Episode: Holy Crap! A lot of ground is going to be covered. All the way up to the
opening of the fifth and final gate

Also ;_; * 2.
Old Man Fuu Edit: As for those wondering if father’s new form has anything to do with the Truth, it does not. He’s simply an enlarged version of his flask incarnation from Xerxes. He just has a much larger container now i.e. the entire country.

Ok, I haven’t watched the anime in a while. But I just read chapter 107. It is beautiful.

Ep. 57
Major shit goes down.

Fu got owned by Wrath, and then attempted to go kamikaze on his ass only to have Wrath cut off the fuses off his bombs. I seriously though he cut Fu in half for a second. But then Buccaneer comes in for the surprise attack through Fu to stick Pride with his sword. Sad, awesome, and pretty epic all at the same time.

As for everyone else, that gold-tooth dude (I remembered him from way back when he fixed Kimblee up.) pulls some super-bullshit stuff, and activates a city-wide transmutation circle to open Doors of Truth (whatever those Eyes are…) and sucks up Izumi, Ed, and Al. Literally had me going “WTF?!”. Also, freaky eyes freak me out…sideways eyes are fucked up.

Next Episode: Not too sure, since the preview didn’t show much. Pride vs. Greedling continues!

Errr, you mean Wrath, right? Bradley was Pride in the first series, but he’s Wrath here. Pride is Selim.

It’s also worth mentioning that the next chapter, 108, IS the last chapter and it’s supposedly going to be 150 pages long. Talk about going out with a bang. Arakawa totally needs a vacation after finishing this.

I still get 'em confused…after watching the 1st series so many times, I’m used to that version. I’ll change it right quick.

The eyes had me thinking about how certain people are sacrifices. I thought all of them, including Mustang would get pulled down but I guess Gold-Tooth just needs some and had others marked for backup.

The ones who got pulled are only the ones who opened the Gate and saw the Truth.

I thought there were supposed to be five, not three.

Also, I am damn sure I’m not the only one noticing the quality-dive in the newer episodes. Must be REALLY in a hurry to get it over with. Or just concentrating on the last few episodes. Or just having to squeeze in ass-kicking after ass-kicking.

I must’ve watched the scenes where Wrath was getting hurt for like ten fucking minutes. Greedling destroying the ever-loving-Hell-Christ out of the Ultimate Eye SSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTgodamn Also totally digging how Ling and Greed are synching up more with one another (i.e. concern for Fu)

Also… Roy Mustang FISTICUFFS ftw.

If you recall, there was a scene a long while ago of Father playing around with a transmutation circle-like board and placing four tiny dolls at four of its points while naming them: “Edward Elric, Alphonse Elric, Izumi Curtiss, Van Hohenheim… there’s only one missing”.

Good God. I just stumbled across some freeze frames of episode 57 and they are loving awful.

See here, here, and here.

See?

I first starting noticing this when
Armstrong first started fucking up Sloth.
When he put his fists together and did that ground-spike thing, it looked like something straight out of a CBS Saturday Morning cartoon and not the quality animation shown from %80 of the other episodes.

If this continues, the last few episodes are gonna look like something out of “Tenchi in Tokyo.”
