Having a flea-superpower would rock. Imagine how high you could jump/land from.
Actually, fleas can be the biggest nuisance you have ever known. And flea baths generally do not do the trick. I would definately talk to your vet about Advantage or Frontline. They’re once-a-month flea treatments which are a tad on the spendy side, but the big name brands are the only ones that are practically guaranteed to get rid of the fleas. They work very quickly too, killing all the fleas in a day or two. But before you buy them from the vet, check around pet specialty stores, or some other home/ranch type store to see if you can get a better price. (Grocery stores don’t carry the good stuff, just generic nonworking treatments.)
Trust me on this one, I put up with Natsu’s fleas and my dad’s cheapo treatments for about a year. >.<
Oh yeah, did the cats put up a fight in the bath? (i.e., claws of DOOM?)
I found a flea on my Shitzu (spelling?) shortly after we got her. We got her on Advantage (I think) and it works wonders.
It’s “Shih Tzu”. :hahaha;
We didn’t get anything like that, because it wasn’t really an infestation. They just caught them a day or two ago, and my mom wanted to get rid of it before it got serious.
That’s good then, I don’t know how well it works if there’s no infestation, since I’ve never dealt with just one or two fleas. 
But keep in mind what I said in my earlier post if an infestation does occur.

Never had a flea problem before. Only tick. They suck, literally. It’s not a pleasant thing to wake up in the morning with one giant one attached to you. Kinda freaked out that day and sprayed everything of mine with tick poisoning. ^^;; It wasn’t all that fun to go tick hunting everyday.
Ticks are gross…well, pretty much so any parasite is. Poor kitties ;.;

My cats got fleas this summer, a shame- my mom had to go out and get flea killing stuff, but that worked well.
I personally blame my brother for his dirty, dirty room- he probably has all kind of bugs living in there.

My pets are pretty good about not getting fleas.
On the other hand, I have had fleas twice now (only for a day each time mind you, showers do wonders). Let me tell you how much it sucks to wake up and realize that during the night you were partially eaten alive… I had to take care of each case without hesitation or compassion. DEATH TO ALL FLEAS. It really did teach me an important lesson about how much we should be sure to take care that our beasts should be kept safe from fleas.
And for those of you who are wondering, its very easy to get fleas when you fall asleep on a friends couch, and two flea infested cats decide that you make a good pillow.
