final fantasy flash movie?

Hi guys, I’m new here, and I never quite finished my previous flash movie of ff6, with sabin edgar and kefka, but I lost the .fla file and won’t be able to continue it.

however, I am interested in making a new one, I can make it out of fanfic or whatever you guys can come up with, it can include fighting, but hopefully nothing too elaborate, because I’ll only be using sprites from the game, with mostly scenery drawn by myself (my art is not that good)

Gimme some ideas!

also, it can be of any old rpg, ff4-6, earthbound, chrono trigger, etc. but preferably ff6 or chrono trigger, because those were my favorites, but hey i’ll take any suggestions and see what I can do… any feedback is welcome

Edit: since I won’t be finishing it, here’s a preview of what the old movie was going to look like, keep in mind that much of it was debugging and what not, but you get the idea, and if you guys remember from way back when, the spell being cast is my own creation “ultima2” http://www.geocities.com/polo_adam/loading.html

I suggest you get some pre-made background from a game before trying this again, paint just doesn’t cut it.

We have enough FF6 parody stuff, some CT would be nice.

lol, ouch, i was pretty proud of my hand drawn background… but thanks for the input, I’ll do my best :bowser: , i’ll have to start looking for some chrono trigger sprites and what not, I’ll be able to get them myself if necessary

It’s not that the background was bad, [STRIKE]although it really was[/STRIKE], it’s just that the sprites look out of place in that enviroment.

lol, it’s allright, i’m not quite the artist anyways, that was my first flash project, and I had to draw it with a mouse, which is tough in the first place

Edit: note, it was drawn in flash, as you can probably tell from the cartoonyness of it

It’s not like you can do much with paint, skill or not. I suggest you only use it if you want to create some sort of crappy parody effect… or something realted to Zelda: Wind Waker.

I’m actually looking into this thing called tile editor pro which allows me access to tiles, but I don’t know exactly how to go about using it for my advantage

Chrono Trigger would be awesome.

the only problem with making a chrono trigger movie, is that there are a LOT of sprites that are involved with making chrono trigger look so good

i’d need a lot of motivation for such a task

Hm, well, ignoring some rather harsh criticism, I din’t think it was that bad. Seraphim may have been right about the sprites looking out of place, however.

Anyway, I know it sucks when you work really hard on something and nobody seems to like it …so (warning: motivational speaker-esq comment) keep working on it…and shine on, you crazy diamond.

And I think you should do someting EarthBound related.
