I ended up playing the rom, so when I play FF6, which version should I play?
Maybe a fan translation will be the uncesored version

I played the rom too. Just play the rom…though I’ve never played the ps version. I just know it has load times.
ROM. Better in every way.
And get the hardtype hack off of Zophar. Makes it actually half a challenge.
I vote ROM.
I vote original Japanese cart in the original Japanese. Now das… Das cool.
Square censored some things in FFV, I think it would be better to play the rom, the only thing changed is just the language.
They censored a Playstation game?
Did they censor the heck out of the FF6 in anthologies, because if they did, then I’m playing the rom too. I heard they censored FF3 for Snes,a nd it’s probably “FF6” on Anthologies
I heard FF6 has even worse loading times
BTW I think FF5 is really hard. At the end of the game, I can barely damage any of the monsters
If you work the game right, FFV is ridiculously easy. Here, I’ll upload my ludicrously overpowered save state just for you. It’s right before I committed suicide. ^_~

Also included is my save state from right before I entered the Cleft of Dimension. I have no problems of any kind in survival, yet I’m on such a low level.
What should I do when I get to Final FAntasy 6?
Laugh at the insane level of easiness because it’s the easiest FF in the series
Shinryu, what directory do I put the save state in? I play the rom in Zsnes from C:\Program Files\Roms\Final Fantasy V
I saved a couple states (one for xdeath’s lair, one for before neo xdeath) in Zsnes, but they don’t show up in my Final Fantasy 5 folder. Same thing when I took a screenshot of Neo Xdeath from the F1 menu.
I put your two save states in my Final Fantasy folder and went to Zsnes and loaded the first four save slots. Only two showed up, and they were mine. I opened four slots in Snes9x and nothing showed up
How am I gonna open your save states? I’m gonna see them to see how to build my characters
EDIT: I heard opening your state isn’t possible in Windows XP
Maybe you should do like me, and put the emulator, roms and save files all in the same folder… After my hard drive was formatted, I set up a main folder for all the games, and then a subfolder for each. I have an emulator subsection to keep things organized, sorted by system.
Yeah, I did that. Now my stuff is working a little better
Did you get to see them? The one uber-powered one won’t help you much because all the jobs are mastered and levels are maxed, though it’ll show you the best way to beat Shinryuu. And Omega isn’t that much different, either.
And yeah, put them all in the same folder and it should work fine. Otherwise I think if you put them in the folder that Zsnes is in, I think that’d work.
EDIT: For no apparent reason, here are my strategies for beating Shinryuu and Omega:
First, I had everyone master Red Mage, White Mage, Time Mage, and Summoner. For this trick, you MUST have Red Mage’s “X-Magic” ability, and the Time Magic “Quick.”
Make everyone mimics, and equip them with Coral Rings, available in Istory Village for $50,000 apiece. Give at least one of them Lvl. 6 White Magic. Give all of them Lvl. 6 Effect Magic, and X-Magic. Give Lvl. 5 Call Magic to the ones who don’t have White Magic. (I gave it to Lenna). When the battle begins, he will use Tidal Wave. With the Coral rings equipped, it will do nothing.
Have your first character cast Quick and either Bahamut or Meteo through X-Magic. On your first of the quick-supplied turns, either cast Meteo twice, or Summon Bahamut twice. Again, through X-Magic. On your second turn, use Mimic, it will save you MP. Lather, Rinse, Repeat. If he does damage you, have your white magic user cast Cure 3 several times. Shinryuu will fall like rotten fruit. Heh, he didn’t even touch me.
After you kill me… er, Shinryuu, he’ll fork over the Ragnarock, the strongest Knight Sword in the game. Excalibur nothing! Also, he will drop the Dragon Crest, an item that proves you beat me, er, him.
I beat Omega after Shinryuu, so this guide will expect that you have also killed Shinryuu.
First off, at least 2 characters should have mastered Ninja, Archer, and Magic Swordsman. Make them Suppins. Give them the abilities “Magic Sword lvl. 5/6” and “X-Fight.” Give each two Magic Sword-able weapons. Your other characters (at least 1) should be Mimics with the abilities: “White Magic lvl. 6,” “Effect Magic lvl. 6,” and “X-Magic.” This makes them formidable healers, capaple of reviving everyone, healing over 9999 to all, etc.
Once in battle, have your suppins use “Bolt 3 Sword.” Keeping your healer/s ready to heal. Don’t bother with attack magic, because it will either be reflected or do next to nothing. When your Suppins get their next turn use X-Fight. When I had a lvl.99 Butz with Ragnarok and Excalibur do this, he 9999 a hit. Omega will fall like… some… easily-fallen… thing. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
Omega will give you the Omega Medal to prove his downfall.
Thanks
