FFXI Thread: 1

Alright, here’s the FFXI thread that is going to STAY ACTIVE. Now that we have like, 10 people playing it, I figure people could post just like we did RO. Just everyone post their levels/class and stuff, and we can see what we’ve all got. ; p
Lanyx: 16 MNK (11 WAR) Don’t got my subjob yet, but I’ve got WAR leveled a bit so that I can throw that in right at 18.

Oh man. I had no idea Born Loser was on FFXI. o.o;;; I had no idea he existed! Anyways, message one of us sometime. And RPT: When can you really start farming? (I mean what level do enemies start dropping items worth a crap)

Currently leveling for rank 5 mission with shell on Saturday, but haven’t been playing much… new games.

If you arent crafting, then crystals are always worth it. And there are alot of items that low levels drop that are worth a good amount of money. Silk thread, Grass thread,(grass cloth which can be broken into thread) and if you craft, sell the shit you make to make up for the crystal loss.

I started farming at level 31…I could’ve started much earlier. Even the lowest-level Quadavs drop Backplates, which I can sell for between 800 and 1000 apiece.

RPT: How hard / long are the gobbiebag quests?

They’re actually really easy - but expensive. You get them in Lower Jeuno. One of the goblins in the goblin-run shop will give you the quest and ask for four items. You can buy all of them at the AH. The first round of items ran me a good 17 - 20K, the second 30K. If you need Jeuno fame to be able to get the quest, buy tons of La Theine Cabbages and do the repeatable quest in Selbina until you have all the fame you need.

There’s also that Community Service quest in Lower Jeuno that you can do to raise your fame. And if you have a good fishing skil, you can also fish up a lot of Gugru Tuna and do the Fisherman’s Heart quest in Mhaura.

Glenn, i actualy think i’ve seen you before. I remember seing someone with Lan at the begining of their name and thinking “that makes me think of the WoT” Have you been in the dunes these past few days ? I’ve managed to contact Nulani. now that i know what you guys named are, i’ll be able to drop ya a line and say “hey”.
I just joined a really cool LS. They helped me get the sub job items. the only really bad thing is, their all in their 30’s and i’m just a lowly level 10. and their from San d’Oria, and i;m from Bastok.

Sure as hell have. Just hit 18 last night. Wee, 18MNK/9WAR. ; p

Edit: Don’t worry about getting from Bastok to Sandy and vice versa, their the easiest to get to from eachother. And Windy is pretty easy too, you just have to wait on the damn boat. >.>;;

That area right after Mahura(spelling) is really dangerous to cross. It’s stuffed so full of gobs… i cant think of how to finish that, but it has a lot of gobs in it.

I just reached level 10 so now i’m 10thf/5war. About to head back tot he dunes, after i scrape together enough cash to buy my next line in upgrades.

Frame, mayhaps you and I could do some levelling in the near future.

I will take this opportunity to point out that Square-Enix sucks for distributing warped discs. Always fun to pay over 80 dollars for a game and then have a warped Disc 3.
