Ok, I really don’t understand the game system thats being used here…since there is no leveling up…you just like get better with the weapons and stuff…how do I know how powerful I should get for upcoming bosses?
That’s the problem… you really don’t know if you’re powerful enough. In fact, the game tricks you in the early stages where the first 3 or so bosses are nearly invulnerable to weapons. (Hint: Ice spells work well on the first few bosses!)
Once you get Mythril stuff, the game will become a bit more fair.
But generally, all you can do is just keep attacking. Stick with the default weapon types for each character, equipping Firion and Gus with 2 weapons each, and let the battles run their course. As you attack over and over again, your strength and number of attacks will go up, and as you take damage, your defense, HP and other stats will go up. Most spells outside of Cure aren’t all that useful until you find Life, Berserk and Haste.
Don’t let the game system overwhelm you. It’s not nearly as complicated as people make it out to be, but it does require a lot of leveling up.
Thanks Dalton, I will try doing that.
Actually, I kept Maria Unarmed and she fights pretty well.
Something it took me a while to figure out in that game was that if you attack from the back row with any other weapon then a bow it misses.
It is quite easy once you get the hang of things, you actually enjoy raising attributes. The best way to raise your HP is to attack yourself early on, this way your HP increases quicker. Just be careful not to kill yourself. :hahaha;
There’s 62 hours of my life I’ll never get back.
