I remember that avatar and I think somebody else ended up with it afterwards.
I also remember that one time I spotted a photo of Mr. Saturn’s game collection being used on 1up.com as a stock game collection photo, he had a pretty good setup going as I recall. Also remember when 1up.com used to not be dead and loving it?
I laugh at my high school life. I did take AP courses in high school, then took a year off before going to a community college as well. I got an AS in Computer Science and graduated with highest honors and grades. So what I am doing now? I am stocking inventory in Redbox machines and writing fantasy novels. Ha! My degree has done nothing for me. Everybody was like “oh, take Computer Science. that is the way of the future!”. Everybody else thought that too evidently.

Tell me about it. I went all the way to a BS in ComSci, and all I can really do is apply at local supermarkets and the like while trying to program on a striped down, pre-owned, nearly ten year old computer on the side.

But I was very much caught up in college work. I also didn’t even get to see as much of Ireland as I originally intended to (grumble!). BUT your fine little emerald gem of an island has stolen my heart, and therefore, I will be back. So hopefully we’ll get another opportunity to meet in the future. :biggrin:

The starcraft rivalry I had with Sinistral for years. YEARS. And then occasionally we’d team up and just kick KillaK9 and his buddy Icedawg around a map because reasons (Spoilers: We did not really need any).
Accidentally killing Sinistral in Diablo. More often than I wished. And it was not out of some sense of revenge.
The rebellion was an exciting time, but I was not as directly involved so it is more blurry for me than for others. I just basically collected backups of as much stuff as I could for later.

Hanging out with Sinistral and Hiei a little, not as much as I would have liked. My IRL circle of friends and Sin stopped meshing kind of quick. Still, Sin had a nice appartment, it was fun to visit from time to time. Should have done it more before he moved out but his schedule was ‘special’.
Amusing note: Starting to work at the same company Hiei worked 1 week after he got let go. I stayed there 6 months. Ubisoft pays better overall anyway.

I am not however working in production, I work in Infrastructure Support. But not online. When uPlay goes down I got nothing to do with that.
Funny detail: uPlay doesn’t even work for us internally in Montreal because of how it’s made, we have to use crazyass workarounds because of the network code.

It’s pretty much just a corporate merger thing because Infinity Ward has better name recognition because of Call of Duty, plus Neversoft’s studio head is retiring. There’s basically no redundancy in engineering so I don’t have anything to worry about.
