The same thing happened to a rocket propelled car in a recent episode of Mythbusters too. (except their rocket propelled vehicle actually exploded at launch instead of merely falling apart in mid-air).

4 solid fuel rocket boosters in a wooden frame? Is that smart? I wouldn’t put a computer in a wooden case much less a rocket booster for fear of fire hazards.
