I finally got around to playing the first one. Pretty fun so far and not as brutally unforgiving as I was led to believe. Though I’m only down to the second Stratum, so it still has time to fuck me up.
By the way, Ragelope is the most appropriately named monster ever. I can kill them with my eyes closed now, but the first time was a carnage.
I made up a party of a Landsnecht, a Protector, a Dark Hunter, a Medic and an Alchemist and it seems to be working fine, though the Dark Hunter is falling behind on usefulness pretty quick since binding lost its usefulness, and the Medic’s Immunize made the Protector pretty much obsolete. And holy shit Poison is a beast. Then I made a secondary party of Survivalists with the sole purpose of farming which has been very handy.
Any advice on what to do with my guys now? Immunize and Poison are both Level 10 already, so I’m learning most healing spells with my Medic and I’m putting the Alchemist’s points on TP UP. The Protector just hit Level 10 DEF and I’m not quite sure what else to do since I’m planning on switching her as soon as I can, and I’m not sure whether to invest the Landsnecht’s points on leveling Allslash, 2-Hit or just Swords once I finish pumping ATK UP to 10. The Hunter goes as soon as she hits 30 and I can retire her.
Also, how long until I get Ronins and Hexers?
