Just with another name. To quote Scott Adams:
(…)The scientists named the planet Gliese 581 C, evidently to showcase the reason scientists can’t get laid. Science fiction writers all over the Earth are muttering, “Fuck you very much.” No one is going to buy a book titled “Escape From Gliese 581 C.”(…)

This one is important because it’s the most earth-like planet discovered so far, and there is a possibility that it has liquid water on it.
Oh, and cookies to whomever catches the reference in the title.
This makes me happy.
As for the reference, Saturn’s forgotten moon perhaps?
Haha, poor science-fiction writers. Anyway, cool, we have a new planet.
Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri?

Gliese 581 C’s discovery certainly beats the HD 69830’s “three little pigs” find last year; even if that trio is located just within the star’s habitable zone, the Neptune like mass makes them slightly less attractive than “Chiron”.
The scientists discovered the new world using the HARP instrument on the European Southern Observatory 3.6 meter telescope in La Sille, Chile.
Kor needs to hear about this right away! Dirt farmers first to discover possible second earth.
