Hi guys, I’m having serious Email problems of late, and since I do quite a bit of my work online, this could be a serious problem. So I thought I’d ask for help here.
My original Email was Sijo@CentennialPR.net, from when I first got Cable access. Later, Centennial Puerto Rico became Choice Cable TV; I’m not sure what that means, though I suspect another company bought out Centennial. In any case, back when this happened (about two years ago) I was contacted and told that I would now have a new Email address to use. Except I was never told what it would be, and the old Centennial Address continued to work fine, so I didn’t bother to change it ( I did, however, get a Yahoo Mail address just in case. But I ended up rarely using it, and never received much more than Viagra offers through it (and no, I don’t need them yet, thank you. )
However, for the past two weeks or so, my Email service has been malfunctioning. Sometimes it works, and sometimes I get the message “your server has unexpectedly ended contact.” I’m not sure if this means that the old Centennial addresses are finally disconnected, or what. Yes, I tried contacting Choice Cable about it. I got about of 30 minutes of elevator music and recorded “please hold, your patronage is important to us” messages. Same thing as always.
So anyway, I’ve decided to use my Yahoo account instead from now on. Except that a LOT of people still have only my Centennial address, more than I remember so I can notify them of the change. I’ve been wondering if the problem is actually with my Outlook Express software. So that’s what I’m asking: how do I find out for sure, and what can I do about it?
Btw, I used to have Mozilla Thunderbird as a mail backup, but I lost the program the last time my PC crashed. Last time I tried to reupload it something went wrong so I just forgot about it.
Oh, and would someone please fix it so my RPGC Email messages and PM warnings now go to Sijoy2k5@Yahoo.com? Thank you.
