# Earthbound Beginnings (Mother) coming to Wii U VC?!?!

Not sure if anyone else heard this or not, but it’s been trending on Twitter. A fully localized version of Mother is coming to the Wii U Virtual Console at 9PM EST tonight. If this is true, I know a lot of people who will be happy, but then demand that Mother 3 get a release as well (considering they are putting Lucas back into Smash).

Sadly, its only Mother 1 which was apparently pretty janky, even for its time.
Still, a newly localized oldskool JRPG is actually pretty amazing given how often that kind of thing happens. Gives me a shred of hope that a good JRPG that we missed back in the day gets a new shot at life.
