I was never a huge fan of the DW series, but this game looks totally SW33T! Looks like that merger is starting to pay off! Yay for Squeenix! :hahaha;

And this game, ladies and gents, is a shining example of why cel-shading is awesome. Of course there will always be those people who think it’s over used when it’s actually used in like 1 out of every ten games.

Not even that much, there just seems to be alot of them since they look good, and are found mostly in rpgs. Other genres have little to no games with cel shading, and they make up enough of a percentage of games made so that its actually like 1-2% of games made are cel shaded, but yeah its overused. Go figure.

Wind Waker had it, Robotech had it, Jet Grind Radio (THE cel shaded game), Jet Set Radio Future, Megaman Network Transmission, Cel Damage, XIII

Ok less than 1%, but you forgot WA3. Sorry I was wrong about it being primarily an RPG thing.

Dark cloud 2 was also cel shaded. I guess I never really liked the look of it. Even though I have a lot of the games Dai mentioned. So I guess some of my favorite games are cel shaded, but I still don’t like it that much.

<b>This</b> is good use of cel-shading, in my opinion. I really hated the cel-shading in Zelda, but the cel-shading in DW8 looks beautiful.

Are we getting this game? If so, I’ll have to break my rule about not buying games immediately when they’re released. This looks great.
