DS Accessories

Which accessories would you consider to be the closest to essential? There is so much crap out there, and I don’t want to get things I don’t need and miss things that I do. Since I don’t have the console yet and haven’t really played with one, I wanted opinions with experience behind them!

There isn’t really much you need, maybe something to store it in so the DS doesn’t get damaged.

I got nothin.

Car Charger. Jesus Christ, get a fucking car charger.

How exactly does the DS work with the internet? I know there’s stuff like sending people mail in FF3, so do you need anything special for that or what?

I just got a DS! And sme kickass games. And a few questions about the peripherals in the starter kit.
1- How do you use the car charger? I know where it goes in the car, but what do you plug it into?
2- The screen protector. I got two. Is one a backup oe is it for the top screen, 'cause it won’t stay on the latter.
3- Why did it come with three extra styluses?
4- The carrying puch thing. There’s a plastic thing in the middle, but the holes don’t line up right. Am I doing something wrong? And the puch at the bottom: for the DS or the games?

The Compact Pouch, which is the pouch I’ve got. It’s goddamn great if you don’t carry around a lot of stuff, as it fits in your pocket and there’s room for 8 DS games, or 4 DS games and some GBA slot stuff. If it’s too small, though…

The Multi Pouch. It’s basically the Compact Pouch’s big brother, with room for a million games and accesories and whatnot. Doesn’t fit in your pocket, obviously.

Screen protectors oh god. These are awesome, you really don’t notice they’re there, but are kind of a bitch to apply.

A bigger stylus, if that’s your thing. Mine is in the mail, it apparently helps with those goddamn spinners in Ouendan and Elite Beat Agents. A lot.

I see there’s a lot of love for the car adapter, but seeing as how I don’t have a car, nor is my country huge enough for the DS to run out of juice if I cross it… yeah.

Wireless DS stuff depends completely on the game. You either need a wireless router for it, or the USB Penis. The latter isn’t really worth it though, it costs as much as a cheap wireless router, and it tends to overheat if you leave it in all day.

Ragnarok, 1: See above.

2: Stop sucking, there’s a protector for each one. Most likely. It’d help if you would say what protectors you got.

3: Because you’re bound to lose one or two.

4: It’d also help if you said what pouch. Or just get one of the awesome ones I linked.

Just cable internet and a router. It’s not hard to set up.

An M3 >____>

I have the Nitnendo Wi-Fi USB Connector, since I don’t have a Router. It’s a simple way to get the DS online, and it works with the Wii too. Though a Router might be more practical for other things.
