Can you guys recommend a good download accelerator to accelerate my downloads? 't’d be greatly appreciated. :kissy:
Please don’t use download accelerators. The way they work is that they make the server you download from think you’re multiple computers at once, thus getting your files faster, but also taking up way the fuck more bandwith and server stress. You’re basically just acting like an asshole by doing that stuff. If you want faster downloads, get a faster connection or find a faster server, don’t rape existing ones.
DAP is also loaded with a FUCKTON of spyware.
And you don’t need to get porn that quickly.
Torrent stuff. 'nuff said.

Also, I think that all download accelorators have loads of spyware, I can’t think of one that doesn’t.
Yeah. Just get either a better server to d/l from, torrent large stuff, and stay away from the spyware cannons.
I’ve got a download accelerator but it costs like $20 (I’m not saying how I got it) and I have it set so it downloads like normal with only one source. It doesn’t have spyware either, but the only reason I use it is because I have dial-up internet and it lets me resume downloads.

Then you want a download manager, not a download accelerator. Firefox comes built-in with a neat one, but I used to use Getright many moons ago. It also has acceleration functions in it, though, and I forgot about it’s spyware contents. It’s free.
If you don’t mind spyware, try gozilla and flashget.

Thats what mine is. It’s a download manager but it can also be used as an accelerator.
