I beat it once in under 20, without the damned Underwater Material (I didn’t know it existed, 'cuz I was a dumbass).
Those videos are pretty cool though. It’s like the ‘cheap’ way of defeating Ruby.

Yeah, we know THAT strategy. Everybody does. I thought this was a much more interesting and creative way of killing him.

There’s more than 1 if you use the item-cloning trick.
I’ve never being able to get it to work, so I can’t use that.
What I’m curious about is how he got Barret to pull off his Limit Break in rapid succession like that. Is that even possible in the North American version?
Perhaps he used Mime on Barret repeatedly?
It is possible, if Barret has Fury status. 3-5000 damage while furied is an instant level 3 limit. It fills more slowly at level 4, which is why rapid Omnislashing isn’t possible.
If he did it without getting hit between limits, then they used the always-full limit guage gameshark code.
This is an interesting strategy. I’ve always liked Ungarmax more than any other limit, because it hits more often than any other move, and thus has more damage potential. It usually doesn’t do more than 2000 a pop, but I guess with Hero drinks (which there are way more than one of, by the way) it’s possible to do 10k.
And you can’t mime limits. Even if it’s the same character each time.
That’s 8 mastered Counter-Mime combos. Sick. Sick. Sick. Sick. Sick. Sick…

On another note, it was nice to finally be able to see Great Gospel. I never used Aeris enough to see any of her limit breaks over Level 1.
Knowing american shows and audiences, they’d probably show off THIS AWESOME COMBO OF insert magic materia and ALL!! BY USING THIS COMBO, YOU CAN TARGET THE WHOLE CROWD INSTEAD OF A SINGLE TARGET!

I know you can in the Gold Saucer battle arena at least, cause that’s what I did to get easy points, get Cloud’s limit to full, Omnislash the first enemy, and hope I didn’t get a weapon/command materia break on the roulette.
Well, maybe you can, I’ll have to try it. I could’ve SWORN you couldn’t. Maybe I was just trying to do it with a character who didn’t know the limit.
Guh, a character CAN mime his own limit. That’s fucked up man. If I knew this years ago I wouldn’t have even fucked around trying to get a gold chocobo. Man, the weapons aren’t even a challenge anymore

Counter linked to Mime. That’s how he did it. Since he pulled off Ungarmax, then got hit (with a bunch of Counter-Mime combos), the 4 Counter materias activated and Mimed his Limit Break.
