w00t

The ruling does not affect the case against Kazaa that the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) have filed against them.

Un-w00t

And that hasn’t been legal since when?

pft if kazaa goes under ill get stuff from newsgroups, just like ive been getting the few movies i decide to get from there, which are usually movies ive just seen in the theater and decided i wanted to see them again without paying $15-$20 for just me

Pheh, if the record companies think they can beat out something so widely popular, they’ll fail miserably…even if they sue the pants off of every college student on earth. (Which I personally think that’s a bunch of crap…getting money from a college student is like getting blood from a rock.)

Bottom line: If prohibition didn’t stop ppl from drinking, neither will lawsuits stop ppl from downloading. =P

If Kazaa gets screwed, we’ll all just find another file sharing program that doesn’t suck, then they’ll complain again. They’re creating an endless loop.

Personally, I have a feeling the RIAA will eventually get themselves bankrupt persuing hopeless causes.

Here’s hoping the day comes soon.

I already have several Backups for Kazaa. Like WinMX.

I raciocinate like this: in ancient times, people could only listen to music they liked at home if they bought some media (LP). Nowadays, said media isn’t needed, since it’s been subsituted for HD’s and cards & stuff.

In ancient times, artists would get money from recording industry for having their music in sold media. Since nowadays people are not buying that media, another source must be found. Artists should get their money from… MP3 player industries! When you buy your MP3 player, part of the money goes to artists. There, it substitutes the recording industry and everybody is happy in the end.

But while this doesn’t happen, I wish everybody who works for RIAA to suffered terrible agonies.

Well, why don’t you get one that doesn’t suck now since KaZaA sucks royally? :stuck_out_tongue:

When I got time :stuck_out_tongue:

Same here. It’s great even if your modem sucks.

And from changing webservers all the time; since they get hacked into oblivion once or twice a month.

That’s another thing. They have most of the ‘haxorz’ against them in this fight too… Talk about stupidity.
I’ve tried WinMX and for some reason I found it to completely suck.
I’ve been using Kazaa Lite for a long while now and I’ve yet to:
Not find what I was looking for
Recieve a virus.

VERY easy to find. Shame I’ve watched around half of it. I keep coming across movies i’ve already seen :(.

Yes, it is.
But I’m talking about everything from songs, to movies, to games.
