Games on Olympic Games (perverted) are generally awful. And I don’t see any mention of who’ll be developing the game. I find the “now we can learn who’s faster, Mario or Sonic” comment having as much meaning as “now we can learn who jumps higher, Mario or Sonic”. D’oh. Though it’d be fun trying to outswim Felps with Mario
This is the first time Mario and Sonic have been in a game together, right? Kind of a bizarre idea, but Nintendo, at least, seems to enjoy whoring its characters to every sport possible, so I guess the Olympics was only a matter of time.
(Before clicking on the title, I thought this would be a thread about the rumored new Nights game for the Wii.)
If it was anything other than an advertisment for the Olympic games it’d be interested news. As it is, it seems to be just a cash grab.

Well, as long as it isn’t made by Sonic Team it has a chance. Sonc Team hasn’t made a good game in who knows how long.

So its a Mario party with dragon quest people. interesting. I’m guessing were never gonna see it state side.
First time I saw Mario & Sonic I thought it had to be an april fool. Then again, it is true Nintendo love sticking Mario in every sport game possible- the Olympics were just a matter of time, really.

That’s Itadaki Street Special. They already had an FF+DQ version (two of them, I believe) with something like forty characters. Way too cutesey and puzzle-gamey to ever come out in the US, unfortunately, but it’s like a fanboy orgasm.
I knew about the FF/DQ version, which sort of made sense, but DQ and Mario o_O?
Why not? It’s not like the game has anything to do with RPGs. It’s like Super Smash Bros. in puzzle game format. You could stick any character in there provided they could be rendered in kawaii.
GAH…I want the game to come out HERE!
What about the Olympics? Is that coming out here?
