Today I finally got my new computer, but I have a problem. I’m able to install older programs just fine, but when I try to install newer ones on it I get this error:

An error (-5003 : 0x5) has occured while running the setup.

This happens after I select to install the program and it goes to the InstallShield. Any clues on how to fix this?

And yes I’ve searched the internet before bugging you guys.

Looks like a damaged disk. Any other programs you’re having trouble with?

It happens when I install newer programs (like Civilization 4, Battlefield 2, Black and White 2), but not older ones (like Black and White and Morrowind).

Strange, I messed something up on my computer so I did a system restore which messed things up even more, but I used a tool that I could use in Windows and everything worked out just fine. I’m able to install things just fien now. Funny enough, I think the root of the problem was McAfee being over protective or something.
