When I tried to install red alert, it says that its the 95 edition only. Is there any way i can get around that?
And speaking of Red alert: Allies or soviets? What strategies do you use? Etc etc.
Allies. If against comp, build up my defenses and some units, then build up a big army, send a small bit off to scout and draw them in, then crush them. Or put 25 engineers in 5 MPCs with a couple more MPCs to take the flak. Then take over and sell their CY and, if possible, ore refinery.
Classic RA is so much better than the sequel. Kudos to you. I preferred the Soviets and chose an offensive style of play. Lots and lots of weak-mid tanks and only a few big boys for defense purposes.
Soviets. Gotta love the mammoth tanks and telsa coils.
Allies. Chrono Device + Nine Mirage Tanks or Nine Prism Tanks = Sexy

allies
make some good turret defense start building a lot of choppers and med tanks
then clear their initial defenses with the medtanks and try to take out as much of the air defense there is and then send your choppers in… if done correctly you will wipe out them in a flash
Soviets… mammoths+tesla defensive… and wear em out or get a decent heavy tank army and crush em
Soviets because I like the colour red when it washes down through the eyes of my enemies after I remove their scalp.

I always prefered the allies, espically in the expasions.
i could never get past the missile silo control room mission. has anyone ever gotten past that?

My strategy was always basically to defend my base, then launch a huge air (as soviets) attack. For allies, its better to send raids.
oh man that’s easy… taking you mean the mission after ‘teh Scorched earth’
just save when you enter… and explore as much… remembering whre the dogs/turrets/control chambers are…
I don’t know if easy is the word I’d use. I beat it, but I wouldn’t call it easy.
do you have a map of it? or a save file? i always get killed to quickly
naww it’s been like 2 years when I last played that game… but I still remember that mission… you should be able to find a good walkthrough on gamefags or something
