Which fighting game series did you like because of combos?
Im the only one who voted so far so it is 100percent mo0rtal combat.(only because any tekken video games were not listed.
Street Fighter II
Oh yeah, forgot about those 3D fighters… OK, which [STRIKE]Good fighting games[/STRIKE] 2D fighter? lol
Killer Instinct. Wasted my entire sixth grade year playing it and still passed.
Tekken is not only a 2D fighter.Think Tekken Tag,Tekken 4,the llist goes on…
ok ok ok, Straight up, REAL 2D graphics, Sprites as some people call them, on (possibly 3d) backgrounds where your movement options are away from the badguy and towards the badguy… AKA Left and Right.
Now if theres a sprite based tekken there… Well, it sucks.
Also, I just played the new Tekken at game stop… God damn, you’d think people would start making good 3D fighters by now, we even have games like Sould Calibur to base the quality level off of.
There, I fixed what you said.
Mortal Kombat 3 Unlimitied for the Genesis. I blew ass, never made it to the top of the fights, could never pull off any of the finishers and the only move I ever learnt was Sub Zero’s basic freezing trick, but it was the only multiplayer game I had so me and seven other friends (Which also sucked, but not as much as me) wasted a whole year on it.
I could do sub zero’s combos in MK3, but MvC2 was awesome once you learned how to do the arial raves and such.
killer instinct… coz it rocks
I liked most of that playstation version street fighter. Cant remember though what it was. It was something like street fighter 2 +a, there was garuda, akuma…
Am I the only one who hopes this was about those awesome pretzal things filled with cheese? Man, what a let down.
Street Fighter Alpha 3. I love the SF games still to this day. You really have to be skilled to lay on a nice combo, no button mashing.
I really dont get into newer fighting games because someone hitting random buttons can really lay the hurt on. Soul Caliber 2 being the exception
I like street fighter’s combo system because the “good” combos didnt involve random button pressing like in Marvel vs Capcom 2. I know that MvC2 requires skill, but the sheer level of air time mixed with 20+ hit combos just takes away from the feeling of “combat”…
All we need capcom to do, is take the 3rd Strike engine apply it to the character selection choices of Capcom vs SNK 2… And update the graphics… (no more of this recycling old sprite shit)
Dreams may come true.
Doubtful though. >_<
