Collections Complete !!

i will ask a question anyways. what is your favorite spider or spider moment in an rpg?

Favorite goes to the Redknee. It’s the all time classic.

For fav spider moment in an RPG… I can’t think of any. But I can tell you the least favorite : the tarantula boss battle in Lufia 2.

have you ever accidentally stepped on one of your spiders, if not why not, and if you have which part did you eat first?

Um, no. I’m actually careful with my pets and don’t mess with 'em unlike so many idiots out there. They stay in their cages and they are safe.

but are they happy? are they self-actualizing? because you should be facilitating that process and dear oh dear I would certainly hope you are

A happy tarantula is one that is either sitting still or grooming itself. All 3 are sitting still, so yes, they are happy.

maybe if you’d stop scaring them they’d stop being paralyzed with fear

and don’t be silly spiders can’t be happy

I am shocked. Shocked, I tell you! That you do not have any of the Spiderman movies listed. What kind of Spider God are you?

(Incidentally you might want to change your user name to Spider God; to go with all those spiders.)

How does this make you feel?

Shouldn’t make him feel anything. He’s mentioned like 3 times that’s what he does with is anyways

I don’t know about DG, but I have an erection.

right now? who doesn’t…

I had somehow assumed that you saying your collection was complete meant that you now had all the spiders ever and it was complete.

Dear me, no. I would never desire every single species out there. There are over 900 species known. Besides, alot of them possess traits that I dislike such as requiring high humidity to survive, potent venom, extremely fast movement when startled, high aggression and short lifespan.

There are other mexican species which I could get if I wanted to, but they have similar looks with only some very minor diffrences. For example, the Mexican Flameknee looks alot like the Redknee except that the “knee” part is a bright red flame instead or being more orange. The Flameknee also isin’t as “stocky” as the Redknee.

For the others wondering how I felt about people eating spiders is Asia, all I’ll say is that their culture is diffrent from ours. If they like to eat their spiders, good for them. I’ll keep mine as pets, thank you very much.

Also, Spider-Man movies… I’ve checked and none were released in the '80s. Plus I never really liked Tobey Maguire’s portrayal. Will I be seeing the 2012 remake ? Nope.

I have a question too. I know you really like your spiders, but have you ever felt that they don’t have much freedom being kept in glass boxes? I mean in general don’t they like to explore? (taking into consideration the fact that you said happy ones stay still.)

They don’t need all that much space. Tarantulas have very low metabolisms. They have patience on their side. Lots of it. They have lived this way for over 350 million years ! They have thrived and survived while other animals did not. The desert tarantulas are capable of living off with their stored nutrients and water found in their prey to live off for months before another prey may be captured. In general, a female tarantula will not stray more than a few inches of its burrow unlesss forced by ants or natural disaster like a flood. Males will do the same until their maturing molt, then they set out in search for females to mate with.

Sometimes mine will climb the walls but usually don’t move all that much. They are the ultimate couch potato. They sit and wait for weeks or even months until a hapless bug wanders too close to their burrow, then with lightning quick speed, the prey is captured and they can partake in their leasure. Of course, mine don’t wait that long for a meal. I tend to feed them every two weeks. This gives them plenty of time to digest and if near a molt, it usually gives me time to notice which one I can and cannot feed during a particular feeding.

Hmm interesting. I never knew that stuff. I guess that would make em good pets! ^^

I just got Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations…admittedly, I haven’t really gotten a chance to play any of the Phoenix Wright games, but I’m really liking this one so far.

My cousin has a tarantula (Mexican rosehair, I think) that he’s had since he was a little kid. Back when he was younger, I remember him freaking out all the time because he was convinced she was dead because she hadn’t moved for so long. When he got back from the marines, he joked that she was right where he left her. Also, how long do tarantulas live? She’s got to be fifteen by now.

would you eat human if it was prepared properly and in front of you?
