Classical Music

Good songs. List.

Thread inspired by Canon being the best song ever.

My favorite (Which I was listening to like five minutes ago) is Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, “Ode to Joy”.

Some more could be:
Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” (Especially Spring)
Mozart’s “40th Symphony” (Violin)
Richard Wagner’s “Nibelung Ring”
That song from Carmina Burana that I don’t know the name but is in almost every medieval flick under the sun.

Then you have game soundtracks like “Liberi Fatali” and “One Winged Angel”, but you don’t need me to tell you Uematsu rocks.

Beethoven - Air (if you’re looking for it you may as well search for End of Eva, since that’s what everyone associates it with), or Moonlight Sonata by same.

EDIT: O Fortuna as well. Forget the composer.

Mozart - A Little Night Music
Mozart - Requiem

Canon in D?

Anyway…
Fantasie Impromptu - F. Chopin
Rondo alla Turca - W. A. Mozart
Minute Waltz - F. Chopin
Passages from The Well-Tempered Clavier - J.S. Bach
Sonata in E Minor - F.J. Haydn
Herberge - R. Schumann
La Campanella - F. Liszt

Dies Israe

Danse Macabre by Saint Saens is rawsome too.

Journey: Wheel in the Sky

O Fortuna

Modest Mussorgsky - Night on Bald Mountain
Gustav Holst - The Planets Symphony (Especially Mars, Bringer of War)
Frederic Chopin - Fantasie Impromptu
Hector Berlioz - Dies Irae (I’m pretty sure it was Berlioz anyways :O)

Sergei Prokofiev - Dance of the Knights (which is part of Romeo and Juliet but this one’s my favorite)

I second SG’s suggestion of Holst, although I personally prefer Jupiter and Mercury over Mars.

I like the Toccata-Bach and Firebird and Four seasons but I’m not sure who those two are by.

edit: and Swan Lake

Petruschka by Igor Stravinsky.

You guys are forgetting Antonin Dvorak’s Humoresque! :o
