Θ Chosen Hopeless Nothingness

I can’t figure out what’s wrong. I beat the dungeon quite easily, and I’m level 27 for all. But, I can’t seem to beat the monster at the end. I’m using Kite, BlackRose, and Mistral, but might switch out Mistral for Elk if I can’t seem to kill it. It does 400-450 damage to each character, and I do about 1 with Kite. Doesn’t make sense. Is there a special way to defeat it? Also, if you know the name of this creature, please tell me.

Welcome to the hardest fight in probably all of of .hack, well anyway for this fight try to be level 30,and the strongest weapons for the characters you use would not hurt, the strategy:

Pull Kite as far away a possible from Skeith and make him the healer, let the others fight for you until data drain, don’t get confiden even after DD as he is still quite powerfull, keep the strategy until he dies, just buy a shitload of healing items 99 is good(trust me you will need them).

The problem is, with each character only having 400-600 HP, it’d be hard to even heal them without them dying on me first.

When the battle begins, his first hit is for Kite, putting him in red.

gain 3 more levels, and run around the final area data draining everything for rare items. I never really had much trouble with Skeith, but the fight did have it’s moments. I would advise bringing in as many stat increasing items as you can and get real quick with telling your mage to heal. I do recall going through vast amounts of healing items, but get used to it cuz that’s the story from here on out from what I’ve seen, though I’ve only played through mutation.

I tried going Date Drain crazy in the last field, but it just ended up in me losing levels.

don’t go that crazy. When you get up pretty high on corruption fight normally for a while.

That will do. About stat increasing items, what do you mean? Items that increase an overall attribute permanently, or temporary status boosts?

temp stuff. 5 or 6 of each should suffice

I tried it again, but can’t seem to beat it. I pulled Kite away immedietly, but the other characters just died.

Is it true that the .hack games are discontinued? I’m having a hard time finding each game.

For side quests try getting more characters. I think the extra ones are Natsume (a twin blade), Sanjuro (heavy blade) and Gardenia (long arms). I like Gardenia and Natsume (who has the voice of Yuna). Sanjuro is a character from .hack// Legend of the Twighlight. Sorry if I forgot some.

Yeah. I got Natsume, and Sanjuro. But Gardenia? Is s/he in the club-house field? I didn’t attempt that, I got tired of Δ Chronicling, and Θ Chronicling areas. They were fun at first, now it’s just stupid.

you absolutely have to be level 30 to have a chance against Skeith. You get a fairly large hp boost at that level, which really helps.

I was level 32 when I fought Skeith, and it was laughably easy. What I did was go through every room in Chosen Hopeless Nothingness several times, Data Draining 1 enemy every fight for equipment, then I returned to town, sold off what I DD’ed, then went to a level 1 area (any of the ones from the boards will work) to reduce Kite’s Viral Infection Level, and repeated until I had 99 Healing Drinks and 99 Resurrects. I had BlackRose and Piros attack and Kite heal/DD when necessary.

Just get her she is the only Long Arms in this game.

Too late. ;_; I already seen the ending before I started the game, my friend introduced me to the game. So he shown me the final boss and stuff.

It was a pretty good game. But, replay value is low. I don’t think I’l’ enjoy the other 3. I wouldn’t want to go through 300000 dungeons to learn a little bit more about the story.

Ah, the same reason why I couldn’t find myself to beat it…good story, but the worse presentation for it ever…the smae useless dungeons again…and again…

I looked in here and saw the name of this topic and knew it had to be .Hack. Heh.

If they put them all into one disc, then sold it off for the price of the 4 games combined, included with 4 anime discs, I’d buy it. Just that 12 hours for the first one, is a milestone to what’s going to happen. Another 12 hours of the same fucking thing. =/

ahkeeyu’s got it down pat. Skeith was a poon.

Kinda off topic, but since I haven’t played any of the games yet I have a question: What’s Kite’s character like? I mean, how does he behave and all that.

Umm…well, he behaves like a regular human being. Oh, except he only cusses once.

He’s nothing special. He actually reminds me of Ashley from WA2 what with having power and not understanding it and what not…typical hero fodder in my opinon.
