I know this will sound utterly disjointed. I remember a long time ago, someone posted a link to some website that had a story about some spooky cave and spelunkers being lost in it. I can’t even remember if it was this forum or another one, but I’m pretty sure it was here due to my lack of visitation to other forums. I can’t even remember which MB program was being used at the time, it’s been that long!
Does anyone have any idea what I mean, and does anyone have the link to the spooky cave story?

I read all or it in one sitting. It’s a very intriguing story that just sucked me in. The pictures made it seem more realistic.
Right now I’m looking for any site that will confirm that it is real or just a story.

I thought the same thing actually. It’s a damn good game, I haven’t been as impressed with a platformer/shooter for ages.
Don’t forget the insanely hard final FINAL cave. Fucking Sacred Ground.

Yea, i’d also like to thank you guys for the Cave Story link, its a great game. Reminds me alot of Commander Keen, but thats a good thing
And taking this topic to another level, i could have sworn we were talking about the Cave <a href=“http://www.angelfire.com/games3/badcp/ba55.html ”><i>Shooters</i></a> (<a href=“http://www.classicgaming.com/shmups/reviews/progear/index.html ”>1</a> , <a href=“http://www.classicgaming.com/shmups/reviews/ketsui/index.html ”>2</a>), which are all the rage with collectors these days.
I also assumed this would be a thread about Plato’s Allegory of the Cave. I do, however, remember this link coming up in the past, and I remember reading it. It cuts off a little too conveniently to be real, methinks.
I read the entire story from Lex’s post - I thought it was SO much better when it was a webpage with cut off updates.
I momentarily figured it’d have something to do with “Colossal Cave Adventure”/“Adventure”/“ADVENT”, the text adventure.
