I was watching the news this morning and one item in particular really made my day.
This is a quote from a speech Bush gave, “Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.”
How can you tell God has a sense of humour? He gave Dubya vocal chords. :-p Not quite up to the level of Don Quayle yet (then again, Bush’d probably have to live to be 90 to get in enough gaffes) but it’s still promising.
I think what Igatona means by the Kerry campaign picking up is that the Democrats said they wouldn’t play the dirty commercial card. Meaning there won’t be any nasty quips about Bush in any Kerry ads.
It takes a tactical IDIOT to not do so, however. The debate is not whether Kerry is a genius or not, it’s whether he’s an opportunist or a lazy bastard.
Not really. There’s been a lot of media commentary about the ‘slinging of the mud’ that happens during campaigning, so both parties are watching themselves, sticking to pointing out actual issues rather than pounding on verbal weak spots. Though that’s one of the stupidest things I’ve ever heard Bush say, it would still be high-schoolish for another man who’s running for president to beat it into the ground.
