This is one of the few things that could, and probably will, kill the great Looney Toons.

Yeah, I saw this on Headline News yesterday. My reaction is still WTF?
I remember all the old Disney cartoons. Duck Tales, Tail Spin, Chip and Dale: Rescue Ranger, Darkwing Duck, and the like. Those were great cartoons. Some new cartoons are midly interesting. I enjoyed Dexter’s Labratory for a while, but I agree most of it’s utter and complete junk.
Cartoons in general suck. I mean, come on. Anime, on the other hand, is not cartoons.
Fuck man, that’s sad. Its sad that kids have to feel macho and cool so much that they can’t be seen enjoying classics. Everything has to be extreme to the max, or violent to be “cool.”
I hope this show rots in the pits of TV hell. Every other attempt to “revitalize” the looney tunes has done so. You’d think that after a hojillion failed spin-offs the writers and producers would realize that it is impossible to top the perfection of these things.
And yea ramza, that episode fucking rocks. Its called the Barber of [someplace] (don’t remember what :P). That’s a classic. That and the “i killed the wabbit” one.

Baber of Savelle, I think. Based on an older play. The one with Elmer Fudd singing “Kill the wabbit!” is an old German play. Flight of the Valkeries, Maybe? I don’t know
What will they think of next? A Tom and Jerry teen drama show? O_o

It was the Barber of Seville. It came under fire because it showed Bugs Bunny cross dressing and stripping Elmer Fudd.
Perhaps they felt the need to change them because every other show is about some superhero team fighting evil. It still doesn’t answer the question “Why?”
Don’t give them ideas!!! 
About my previous comment about that all cartoons suck. I take it back. Undergrads is considered a cartoon, and it kicks ass. Why won’t they start season 2. :<

I fucking grew up with the Looney Toons. To do this to my childhood friends is EVIL, dammit. I say let the fucking purge begin.
Why dont they just let the old Loony Toons be. The old ones are awsome.
This goes to show that American media will rape even American cultural icons for the sheer purpose of putting out some wack rehash of a classic in order to make money and try to appeal to a younger audience. Remember all those movies that were wack rehashes of 70’s TV shows. That was the big Hollywood craze a year or two ago. But back on topic, the WB knows how to derail any classic show. They’re even better at fucking up a good thing than Hollywood. They don’t put out good original shows, either.
Lastly, the Looney Tunes as superheroes scares me.
Well, the best way is to flood their “fan mail” with e-mails sayin this shouldn’t be put on the air. & write an online petition & get it signed to destroy this show before it goes out!
