Knowing Hollywood, they WILL cast some young starlet as Diana. I know Liv Tyler was also considered. But dammit, she deserves someone older, and more impressive. Like Catherine Zeta Jones. (tho’ she may be too old for the role.) What do you people think?

They probably could. Last I saw her, which was in some commercial about 5 years ago, she looked exactly the same except with a few mor gray hairs. Nothing a little hair coloring couldn’t handle.
She’ll probably have a cameo. Wasn’t the guy from the old hulk tv show in the movie somewhere? And Stan Lee has been in all the Xmen Movies, Spiderman and DareDevil.

Gah, I don’t think I’d see that if Sarah Michelle Gellar gets the lead. I’m not quite sure why. I don’t know much about the character, but Charisma Carpenter probably would be a better choice.
I am a huge Wonder Woman fan, so any time I hear about something involving my favorite superhero (as she is in an entirely different frame of reference than Batman, who is my favorite superhero as well) I get all antsy.
I sort of wish they could find some sort of unknown actress to play Wonder Woman… I mean, isn’t there some sort of black-haired, Amazonian-looking, at least relatively athletic woman with some acting talent out there somewhere? Oh well.
Linda Carter was my childhood crush, and thought older, she STILL has that mix of class and beauty that made her so unique. And yeah, I’ll bet my hide that they would get her a cameo in the movie, too.
As for other cameos, I don’t remember about Spider-man or X-Men right now, but Lou Ferrigno (the TV Hulk) was a guard in the Hulk movie, and Stan Lee was the old man that Daredevil (as a kid) saved from being run over by a car.
Vicki: yeah, a talented unknown would probably be the best choice, but that’s not the way things work in Hollywood.
Another person I think would also do the part well is Lucy Lawless, the actress who played XENA on TV. Not only she looks like WW and has done action stuff, she also is a GREAT actress, in the Xena show I saw her do everything from nail-biting drama to belly-bursting comedy.
Stan Lee is in Spiderman as a random old guy who pulls some kid out from under some wreckage during the scene at the parade.
He’s in the first Xmen as a hotdog salesman. I don’t remember where he is in Xmen2.
Wils kinda right. Stan Lee is about to cross the street and Daredevil, as a child and blind, puts his stick in front of him to keep him from crossing the street right into moving traffic.
I don’t think Stan is in XMen 2. There were only two crowd scenes where he could be, and I don’t remember seeing him.
They NEED a young, (arguably) sexy woman to play Wonder Woman. The character has such a large following of horny basement-dwellers that they’ll account for 90% of all revenue!

Ok, so I agree with Vicki and Kairi. WW is not meant to be scrawny, and there’re no actresses that I can think of offhand that would be perfect for her.
