I read somewhere that when Saddam was well in reign over Iraq, he or his son (s?) had torture chambers, or rape chambers where’d they bring innocent people in and watch them be massacred or brutally abused sexually, emotionally, etc. it happens all over the country, and damn those heartless people for not doing anything. (If I’m not mistaken, it said the rape wasn’t actually performed…or maybe I’m just interpreting it wrong) basically what I am saying is stuff like this isn’t new.It has happened for years and years.I don’t understand why you’re so suprised.

A few years ago in New York, a woman was raped and stabbed in a residential area for a long period of time and the rapist even came back later to rape her again and no one did anything. The girl died.
there’s a name for this kinda situation. Its how people are less likely to help if there are people around than if there aren’t. (example, drop something in an elevator, better odds of someone picking it up if there isn’t anyone but 1 person). This is a problem with non-confrontational, burden passing individuals which populate the world.

I think exactly the same way. Justice isn’t always equal to law. Many laws are unfair or flawed. If I saw something like that, I wouldn’t restrain myself. I would grab the bastard’s neck and pound him until he fell unconscious.
This is the world of Tolerance. We have strived so hard to make ourselves tolerant and we have suceeded. Take a look at Germany here, a country that prides itself on tolerance. Our tolerance has grown so much that we are willing to tolerate the most vile of things. Its the “If he thinks its okay to rape her, then it must be okay” mentality.
Tolerance is okay for most things, by there are some times that intolerance is acceptable, and entirely necessary.

I don’t even want to comment. I’d like to do something I’ve never done before and blame the porn and movie industry. We are seeing so much violence and sickness on a daily basis that some obviously looses grip what’s reality.

Diffusion of Responsibility. The more other people there are around, the less “your fault” it is when you don’t so something, the easier it is to wait for someone else to do it.
I think rapists should be castrated and have their legs torn off instead of going to jail and also that alcohol is not excuse for comitting any kind of crime.
Where I live, if someone ever did that thing the guy in the news has done, he would immediatly be lynched.
