I know this is stupid, but how do I get my creature into its cave?

The Creature will appear there every time you enter it.
I go into my cave and I can’t see my cow =p
BTW, when they say something about the creature pen, does it mean the cave or that space with grates right in the entrance of the temple?

The creature doesn’t go into the cave. He sleeps in the pen.
I figured it out. It’s just that he’s too small and I missed him.
