I need a link or something to an anti-spam/spyware site. I know most of them aren’t free, but I found one before and can’t remember where. My computer got bombed by it somehow in the last month or so, 'cause now it’s so laggggggggy. In fact, my comp is so laggy write now, it’s taking it’s time SCROLLING UP AND DOWN THE SCREEN! Any help is much apprecciated.
HijackThis is awesome, if you know how to use it. It checks your computer to list ALL the running processes and stuff going on, and it spits out a log file, which you can get analyzed by experts at certain forums or at <a href=“http://www.hijackthis.de/”>this site</a>, which will tell you all the malicious stuff running on your computer (you can download it from that link too). You can get rid of some of it with HijackThis, but you may need to manually delete some stuff.
My computer was so bad a few months ago, it LITERALLY took over 2 hours to boot up. With HijackThis, I was able to get it sparkly clean from spyware/viruses.
(Some other people will recommend <a href=“http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/”>Ad Aware</a> or something, but it never really did anything for me)

If someone didn’t know any better, then they’d take your advice and riddle themselves with spyware. And I don’t know if you know this, but it’s not just a little teensy bit, but it’s a LOT of fucking spyware. Enough to cause SERIOUS problems. You’re being stupid and immature, not funny.
Whomever actually downloads Bonzibuddy 'cause they don’t know, should be shot in the face. I mean, it’s Bonzi fucking Buddy. How can people not know how horrible it is. Stop making statements against me, and notice the obvious.
That’s not the point, the point is that you should be civil enough to not even give them the option to install spyware in a thread that is for anti-spyware. Not everyone is as computer-savvy and you are.
Children come to these forums, Setz. If you were a child who didn’t know any better, you might think that something like Bonzai Buddy might be fun, or even HELPFUL to you, which is exactly why it’s wrong. It does not matter if it’s well known or not, either, because you have to learn sometime in your life. It’s almost as bad as linking to one of those things that creates infinate browser windows or even a fucking computer virus (and even if one of those is well known, then I’d still be banned for linking to one, because it’s irresponsible and destructive). Spyware like Bonzai Buddy and Gater are almost as bad as viruses, and they certainly leave you open to viruses, hackers, and credit card thiefs.
Every once and a while it’s smart to run CWShredder, it removes the god awful Cool Web Search variants, most of which don’t get caught by other programs. As a note, when you download it, don’t just have your browser open it from the temp file, save it to disk. The reason for this is sometimes after the reboot, you get a memory error, which will go away after you delete the .exe file. That just makes it easier to find.
And as always, someone already linked to spybot, and Ad-Aware is another decent program. I run both personally.

Okay. Sorry for posting Bonzibuddy, but I think people’d have common sense to not download it in this thread. I mean, the page I linked to, it offers a download of some sort of game, or pet thingamabobber. It doesn’t say Anti-spyware at all on it.
