Any chance of meaningful updates for RPGC?

Even semi-Wiki style would be great. The mere mention of the possibility has me psyched. Now, where did I leave my pocket protector?

Perhaps so that linguistic cesspools such as your request of letting “the contributors to add their own contributions” do not sully the site with their pathologic presence.
In all seriousness, though, this actually is a good idea. I’ve been wanting to do a shrine for some time, and the difficulty of getting one has gotten to be a problem.

I agree. Wikipedia is surprisingly good for a Wiki-based encyclopedia. Though I still think they need to limit access to people who join the site. Really, I’ve seen message boards with better traffic control than Wikipedia. Would save them from a good deal of vandalism.

But it would also prevent me from adding Woodie Guthrie to the list of Fictional Cyborgs every so often when I feel their stuffy regime needs shaking up. By Cyborg-Guthrie.

This land is your land,
This land is my land.
Similar to how
I’m both machine and man.

Well, really, we were just going to sell the domain to that porn guy in China, but your ideas are something too.

Are you willing to help with this process, once we get your shrine up?

Much like large mammals and old men, RPGC hibernates during the winter. Come the thaw and the end of the great shoveling, I am sure things will go back to normal.

Pro-tip of the day: Don’t complain or you’ll be put to work until you too join the great hibernation!

Also, congrats on the shrinnage.

:kissy:

Yeah wiki rpgc would be kinda cool >>

And while the site is getting slow on updates the admins do have real lives as it has been stated. So. The solution.

Lock up the webadmins and chain them to chairs! Force them to work on the monster they have created! Use whips! Spoons! That will force them to make something wonderful!

That would take alot of work though  And think we are all to lazy to do stuff.

I am the spooon inspector. Do you have any spooooons?

I’m going to stroke this rusty kettle now. Heavy breathing.

And well done on finishing the shrine. >.>

Yea, staff having lives is interesting. And bad for the website. But we still truck on!

Also, <3 your title Cavelcade.

I made an update just for you today, Dammit. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Hey, I liked that update.

I like the fanarts :frowning:

Well, here is a temp fix. If the work looks promising, give the shriner write access in the appropriate page of the main page. Put a big not yet approved message in the stylesheet or wherever, to signify that it hasn’t yet been rubberstamped by the cabal. The page goes public, and the admins don’t actually have to do any work.

To summarize, it shouldn’t have to be so hard (bureaucratically and technically) to climb out of tartarus.

It’s the underworld. It has that name for a reason.

Don’t worry, your post has greased the wheels a bit with what we’re doing behind the scenes (ie: we’re taking a break from plotting world domination to get some site matters rounded off).

RPGC going Web 2.0? Ruby on Rails with diamonds!

“There’s a front page?”
