You’re NOT too late, Poke, in fact now would be the perfect moment to join as there’s one more chapter to go before the story kicks into high gear. Besides, I honestly missed you, it’s always fun to use your characters in my stories. So, glad to have you back. Post that profile soon!

Yeah, I’ve missed being around here too, but I’ve had less of a “life” and more of a “mess that badly needed fixing” lately so…
Either way, I’m back now.
Well, here’s what I’ve got so far.
It’s more or less complete, but I haven’t sorted everything out yet, so I’ll do that as I write.
Poke
Identity:
A, when compared to some of the other RPGC members, rather normal young man.
Can usually be found in the cafeteria, either working or just relaxing. Sometimes jokingly says that he has the most important job at RPGC “because any organization would break down without proper coffee”. He avoids that problem by not drinking coffee himself.
He sometimes tags along on missions too.
Personality:
Usually very carefree and laid back, but will get serious if his friends are in trouble, especially Weiila who is his oldest and closest friend at the Righteous Protectors.
Loves every kind of humor, and is currently collecting horribly bad puns. (What’s long, hard and filled with se(a)men? …A submarine!)
Nothing is so serious that you can’t throw in a joke or two.
Because of his laid back nature, he isn’t very good at dealing with stress though. Which is one of the reasons he works in the cafeteria, although he probably wouldn’t mention it. He is worried that he might mess up on an important mission and likes to think of working there as a chance to train himself in dealing with a high pace and many things happening at once.
He also uses his time in the cafeteria to practice how to slack off just enough to avoid trouble, but still get some “slacker time”.
Most of his free time is spent playing different games, even though he know he should probably train a bit more.
Appearance:
Currently 23 years old, ashblonde hair, about 170cm long, thin but not skinny. Wears glasses, because he’s very nearsighted. Can only see clearly about one meter without them, after that everything turns very blurry.
Most of the time, he wears ordinary clothes, preferring jeans and hooded sweaters. Also owns a few t-shirts with, more or less, witty texts or images on them that he likes to show off every now and then.
When he helps out on missions he prefers to wear some light protection like a sturdy jacket, arm/legguards or similar things that does not weigh too much.
Powers:
He is a powerful, but very inexperienced summoner. He can summon almost anything, as long as you don’t mind that the end result is almost anything.
He’s been working on improving that, and now has at least some control over it, but his skill level is still somewhere around the point where you could almost expect him to stop in the middle and look something up in “Summoning for Dummies”, though.
He also has indirect access to some quite destructive fire magic. Sometimes. Depends on whether Moranath is around or not. (See background for full details.)
He is a slightly below average fighter. He can handle himself in a fight, but he’s not that good at it. Prefers blunt weapons, since they tend to be less lethal than bladed weapons, and he does not like to kill anyone unless there is absolutely no other way. Even then he’d prefer to try and knock his opponent out instead and “take the third option” and find a way where nobody has to die.
Background:
He was born in north sweden, grew up with both his parent. Blah blah blah, you know. “A normal boring human”. Until he discovered his powers, around his late teens.
A mistake while experimenting with them sent him to another world, more precisely the world of pokemon.
He spent some time there as a pokemon trainer, and became quite successful too.
After competing, but unfortunately losing, in the pokemon league he later managed to travel to another world, where he met a group of people quite similar to the Righteous Protectors who he would later join.
This group was called TAFMUR, or The Allied Forces of Magical and Undead Resistance. It was around this time that he met Weiila, too.
Sometime during the (mis)adventures with TAFMUR, he got possessed by a demon called Moranath.
Or maybe it would be more close to the truth to say that they shared his brain and, most of the time, his mouth.
This lead to some strange, and hilarious situations, but nobody really worried about it much as most of the TAFMUR members were what you would politely describe as “a rag-tag bunch of misfits”. Or less politely, “a bunch of freakin’ loonies” and a demon was the the least of their problems.
He was even relatively harmless, and most of the time even helpful. He could use some pretty powerful fire magic, although he mostly spent his time annoying Poke, and by extension, the rest of the group as Poke would have long arguments with “himself”.
(And if I remember correctly, Moranath also had a crush on Weiila, leading to some extra “why always ME?” from her, as one of the main plots from the TAFMUR forum-roleplaying at Vimm’s Lair was that the main villain always tried to kidnap her. ^^)
Even though Moranath has “moved out of” Poke’s head he still sometimes drops by, as Poke has a kind of mental back door that Moranath (and only Moranath) can use to pop into his head. Probably because they were so mashed together towards the end that they were almost the same person.
If Moranath happens to be in Poke’s head when trouble appears, he will usually help out, although (being a demon) he has juuuust a tiny bit less respect for things like personal property and collateral damage in general. (So Moranath helping out usually equals something big goes BOOM, and he claims to have solved the problem.
Most of the time, he does solve the problem, but there are usually better ways to do it, too.)
Nowadays they’re more like old friends than a demon and someone being possessed. People who don’t know the whole story still give him odd glances though, as he seems to have complete conversations with himself.
They also like to make jokes about Moranath using Poke to take over the worl-Too much work-Okay, fine. Then we just take the Righteous Prote-How?-Well, let’s start with the cafeteria-I pretty much run this place already, though-SUCESS! Haha!-Whatever. Now shut up so I can get on with the introduction. (That is usually how some of their conversations might sound, as they both talk with the same mouth. ;))
Where was I? Oh yeah, despite jokes about taking over stuff that has lead to some psychological check-ups and a few questions from Security, nobody really cares anymore because, in the end, it’s just jokes anyway.
Even though Poke has given up on pokemon training he keeps one as a pet himself. A charmander that is the son of his first pokemon; a charizard that is one of the few he hasn’t released back into the wild. It, and the rest of his old team are “retired” and living at a friendly pokemon breeder’s farm. He sometimes visits them when he has some spare time, now that he has access to more reliable means of dimensional travel through RPGC, rather than trying to arrange another magical accident.
(And in case it matters, my old pokemon team would be, from strongest to “weakest”:
In quotation, because none of them are actually weak. They nearly won the pokemon league. It’s just that some of them are stronger than the others.
Charizard (“Pyro”, which is also the nickname of his son, which Poke keeps as a pet. So it’s sort of “Pyro Sr.” and “Pyro Jr.” :P)
Vileplume (“Rafi” In a bit of metaknowledge, it’s named after the original japanese name for Vileplume: “Rafresia”, which, if I remember correctly, is some kind of giant jungle flowers that pollinates using flies instead of bees or butterflies, and therefore it smells like shit. Literally. Lovely, huh? :P)
After them, who are basically tied for the title of strongest in the team, there is a gap in power down to the other four.
Scyther (“Slash” It’s a very original name. I swear.)
Haunter (No real nickname.)
Gyarados (No nickname there either.)
Golem (“Rocky” Even more original than my Scyther’s nickname. :P))
So yeah, I think I managed to clean up most of it pretty well while writing it down here, but if I missed anything obvious, or you need to know something else, just ask.
I’ve tried to tie in what I can remember of my character from your previous Sagas.
Or at least the parts that I felt would work as a more consitent character, for when the next saga rolls in and I need to update it again.
(I remember that in a christmas saga, I had the pet charmander, with no real explanation as to why, other than “I just want to have one, mmkay?”, so I’m plugging up that plothole by having been a pokemon trainer.
…And I used to play that game (the original, Red Version) way too much anyway, so it’s not as if it’s a lie that I spent a lot of time with my pokemon team. :P)
Crap! I thought I submitted mine a long time ago. I think my character’s background has changed with every RPGC Saga. I just don’t remember what my last character’s history was.
Identity: Lex. A relatively recent member of RPGC. He has taken part in the defense of
RPGC a couple times. He hasn’t been assigned to any teams or missions.
Personality: Lex has a strong sense of right and wrong but has lately refrained from
interfering in conflicts because there are always two sides to a conflict. Sometimes
three.
He doesn’t take attitude from anyone. This has set him at odds with the more abrasive
members of RPGC. He thinks they’re jerks and is pretty sure the feeling is mutual.
He guards his emotions on first impression, prefering to feel the other person out
before revealing his more personable nature.
Appearance: Like Sunfire in this picture
Combat gear would be like Ryu Hayabusa’s, only no mask.

Otherwise he’d just be lounging around in slacks and a t-shirt or a long sleeve shirt.
Abilities: High level warrior, no skill in magic.
His powers include skill in some martial arts (karate, tai chi, wushu and judo) and an
indestructible energy shield. Previously he has relied on his expertise in weapons and
used his shield as a last resort. Kind of like an instinctive self-defense mechanism.
He’s been training to rely less on weapons and more on manipulating his shield into a
weapon. He is able to create blades and whips and is able to use them at the same time.
However, this leaves the rest of him unprotected.
When conciously using his shield as a weapon, mental attacks will disrupt them. As a
precaution he carries a long sword (Chinese machete) and a pair of daggers (Like Asuma’s
from Naruto)
Background: Lex was bullied as a kid and when his powers manifested at 13, he saw it as
a sign that God was protecting him. Later in life he learned there were many ideas of
what god was but they all revolved around the same principles.
He took to vigilantism, patrolling a couple streets near where he lived and meting out
justice according to religious principles and personal beliefs. He soon discovered that
relying on just his shield wasn’t enough and sought to learn more skills.
Martial arts helped with common thugs and purse snatchers but Lex started going after
bigger threats like street gangs. The lone street soldier was easy enough to handle but
they resorted to patrolling in larger groups.
While trying to take one on he was cornered and they decided to use him as target
practice. His shield protected him at first but they had time. They experimented with
different calibres they had available (.22, .45, .357) before going all out and shooting
with everything they had. A couple bullets managed to get through his shield. A fatal
wound was only prevented by the fact his shield had slowed the bullets. The gang left
him for dead and Lex survived only when a person passing by the next morning found him
and got him to a hospital.
During his stay he heard of RPGC’s exploits in RPGCity and joined up during their
recruitment drive. He’s been with RPGC ever since.
Hmm… I just remembered that my RPGC character used to have blue hair.
I wonder when he changed that? ^^
I mean, I know it happened because I was working on updating my character and forgot that he used to have blue hair as I updated him to have an appearance closer to mine, but still…
And how did he change it anyway? Blue was pretty much his natural hair color since there never was any other explanation.
Eh. Doesn’t really matter. /shrug.
Poke: Maybe he dyed it? Or stopped dyeing it? :hahaha;
(This is exactly why I ask people to update their entries every year: to make sure their characters are STILL up to their tastes, or change them if they feel like trying something different.)
Well, generally, I update the character profile with whatever has happened in fics between profiles and any personal mindset changes I’ve had during this interesting life of mine. Attempting to act as a superhero seriously for the last 8 years has given the character a blow to his psyche, as he was supposed to “grow up” from a naive youth. Perhaps it’s just the indulgence of several strong blows to the head (and to the gut and to the sides and to the solar plexus, being assaulted with godly might, shot at, etc.) that he refuses to become a boring adult with “real responsibilities”.
Well, in an (unfinished) old background story I was patching together for a completely different character, I was thinking of how she would know me (because in a silly story that I and Weiila made years ago, she knows us both). In that story it was a group of mischievous pixies that magically changed his/my hair to blue as a practical joke, so maybe he just got it fixed.
Either way, you can make something up if you want, or… Well, there’s been way stranger things going on around there, so I doubt anyone would think twice about it anyway.
Even more important is how he suddenly became nearsighted too.
(… The first thing I think about is his hair color, when he also suddenly has glasses. ^^)
Eh, I’d guess it’s my responsibility to patch up the holes in MY OWN CHARACTER, so…
Well, let’s go with the pixies and that he got it fixed, to have SOME explanation for it.
And… Contacts, but they were troublesome, so he switched back to glasses.
Although using that pixie story would lead to the rest of that story old story, which would mean even more demons running around in his brain.
(Or actually, she’s more likely to be outside his head, which would lead to even more trouble. :P)
Meh. I’m still gonna go with the pixies, and then if my character tells that story, he’ll just skip the rest of the explanation (i.e. only tell the part with the pixies).
For a bit more details: it happened when he was trying to study summoning, long before even TAFMUR, but in the end it didn’t work out, so he was still incredibly bad at it, until now when he’s “just” bad at it.
And, actually it’s a part of his life that he doesn’t like talking about, so he’d probably just say that much about it and avoid any extra questions by changing the subject or just ignoring them.
Not to mention that <i>I</i> don’t want to talk about it, because that old story wasn’t exactly good anyway. That’s why I scrapped it.
I might dig up and fix some parts of it, because I don’t like leaving such obvious character holes half filled.
