Identity- Sairan. Self-proclaimed conqueror, occasionally drifts back to RPGC for reasons he doesn’t bother to think of, and manages to somehow be both smart and somewhat out of his mind.
Personality- He appears quite calm, collected, and intelligent at first…but if you spend any time with him, you’d probably start to notice he’s not exactly what one might call “mentally sound.” He really is pretty calm and intelligent most of the time, but he always seems to be planning something, and most of the time there’s no rhyme or reason to those plans or the subsequent results of those plans. Sairan is no longer obsessed with world conquest (though he still tries to do that whenever possible - everyone needs a hobby, after all), but it’s still pretty hard to tell what his motives are or even what side he’s really on most of the time.
Appearance- Looks for the most part like your standard stock anime character. Long, blue hair, and often wears a long red cloak over ordinary clothes or light armor. He possesses no strange or unusual physical characteristics, save one: his eyes are yellow and slitted, much like those of a cat’s. However, he has yet to find any significance to this.
Abilities- Sairan’s not the most powerful magician out there, and even he would admit it, but he does know some basic attack spells of just about each element, and possesses a good bit of skill with fire magic in particular. However, while he doesn’t hesitate to use the magic he has, his first choice of weapons in any fight is his sword, Zetsubou, which would be an ordinary katana if not for one detail: two glyphs carved into the blade. The first allows Sairan to split the weapon into two identical swords for…not exactly a short period of time, but still a limited one. The second allows Sairan to summon the sword to his side at any time he may need it. But just in case, he also keeps a small dagger concealed somewhere on him as a last resort.
Background- Sairan never thought he’d make the proverbial “mountain out of a molehill,” but apparently part of his mind disagreed with that.
While an old friend disappearing for no explainable reason can be one of those mentally-scarring moments, it never seemed to get to him very much when it happened to him many years ago. Eventually, he even forgot the name of this long-lost friend. And for most of his life, it never came back to bother him in any way.
…that is, until not long after the last time he was seen at RPGC, when he ran into a girl who looked exactly like what he imagined this lost friend would look like after so many years. Long story short, this mysterious girl was not his old friend, but instead a rather powerful sorceress who looked exactly like her and also ended up being the personified part of Sairan’s mind that was still going on about this. He’s not quite sure how this happened, but it still annoys him, especially since this sorceress ended up being the kind of villain that frequently shows up just to taunt him and not actually do anything else.
He’s still more or less the same as he always was (i.e. still travels around, occasionally returning to RPGC every once in a great while, and still thinks the world is corrupt enough to be worth conquering and changing if possible), but now he’s been spending some of his time looking into this. Unfortunately, neither he nor his self-inflicted antagonist recalls anything about this mysterious missing person, so he’s not holding his breath about finding anything.
In short, Sairan is currently an intelligent, somewhat insane individual who tries his best to ignore the fact that he accidentially let a minor tragedy in his past get completely out of hand.
