Identity- The Valkyrie Esker. Val to her friends. Goes by plenty of other names, but no reason to list them.
Personality- Val is a very complex, and conflicted person who hides it behind the facade of drinking and brawling and screwing anything that moves. She reacts quickly, albeit grudgingly, to combat and emergency situations, And although loyal to her friends, she’s become much more withdrawn in recent times. There’s talk of a new lover, but she always speaks vaguely about him - or her - to other people, since the mysterious person doesn;t belong here. She spends time at RPGC these days mostly for a sense of “it’s what I do”, rather than “it’s where I belong.” Friends come and go, and she barely knows any of the newcomers who tend to show up.
Appearance- Val is perpetually in the form of a beautiful young woman, in her early twenties. She keeps her blonde hair cut short - it keeps people from grabbing it in battle - and is often seen wearing antiquated armor that nonetheless does it’s job. And it is rare indeed when she is seen without her beloved Gungnir. When not in battle garb, though, she tends to dress in the modern fashion - always the relaxed look, of course. a black shirt and jeans are common.
Abilities- Val is one of the deadliest melee fighters in the multiverse. She has olympic-level gymnastic abilities and incredible strength, known to sometimes punch a hole in rock when she gets really pissed. Her strength lies in ehr experience, and her mastery of every form of combat - she’s best-versed in polearms, most notably her use of Gungnir, the ancient javelin of Odin, but is also a proficcient swordswoman (broadsword and rapier; she never touches katanas if she can help it), and well-trained in axes, bows, staves (battle staves, not those sissy magic staves), and true hand-to-hand combat. She knows some martial arts, but she acts more like a boxer, prefering to brawl in a more freeform style than most can anticipate.
Background: Val was once a valkyrie, serving as Chooserof the Slain for Odin’s warriors, seding them off to Valhalla if they are worthy, or to hel if they are not. Eventually, she grew tired of this, and longed for mortality once more. It was granted, but with a blessing - or rather, a curse. Val is to stay forever in her prime, never aging a day in body, and shall neer die, lest slain in true combat. She can shrug off any poison - thought to be why she can ingest massive amounts of alcohol and not give a damn - although the truly powerful ones can slow herdown enough for one to make the killing blow. In a way, this has actually lead to constant changes in her personality, depending on whether she feels manic, or depressive.
Okay, I think that covers everything.
