Announcing: The return of the Martinez RPGC Sagas!

Yep, what it says in the title: I’M BACK, BABY! Fully recovered from writer’s burnout, with oodles of RPG game research and writing time to spare. I even have Galloway’s permission! So, those of you who remember my RPGC Sagas and want to participate again, let me know by posting your character here. We’ll begin as soon as we have enough characters (and definitely by the Holidays!)

For those of you new to this: my RPGC Sagas were fanfiction stories using the members of RPGC, usually but not always with a Xmas theme- an idea I swiped from d Galloway, I admit. :stuck_out_tongue: My stories tend to be a little more serious, tho. You can check them out in the archive.

I tend to have a problem with finishing long stories, but this time I’ll solve that by strictly limiting the number of chapters I’ll do (but not a specific deadline, that’s too much pressure- still, my goal is to finish by New Year’s.) This is open to EVERYBODY- it doesn’t matter if you have like 2 post in the boards; as long as you request it here, your character will be used (exactly how depends on your wishes and the story’s needs.) You can also join at any time, even right before the end- but of course, the sooner, the better. This is like a Role Play, except I write everybody’s parts, so it’s easier. They tell me my stories were good, so hopefully you’ll enjoy it. (Of course, they might have just been cruelly humoring me. Who knows? )

Anyway, what I need for your characters is this:

Identity- who your character is supposed to be.

Personality- how he or she (or it) reacts to different situations.

Appearance- looks and dress style

Abilities- what your character can do

Background: The character’s history.

Pictures/images are welcome but not necessary.

Exact details are up to YOU. But remember: the more detailed the entry, the better I can use your character. Any type of character is acceptable (well, except blatantly indecent ones). And no, your character doesn’t have to be based on the real you at all. The fact mine is a shameless self-insertion is just an old quirk of mine.

Here’s my character, as an example:

Identity: Wilfredo Martinez, aka Wil; experienced interdimensional adventurer, member of RPGC (Righteous Protectors of Good Causes).

Personality: Wil is motivated mainly by curiosity: if it were up to him, he would spend most of his time exploring new worlds, learning new magic, collecting magic items, etc. Note that he’s interested mostly in the paranormal; mundane things like sports do not interest him much.

Wil doesn’t really like to stick his nose in other people’s business. Unfortunately for him, he has a strong conscience; he just cannot ignore the suffering of others. If he ever runs into an unjust situation, and he decides his help is needed, he WILL help, regardless of how it inconveniences him (or other people.)

Wil is something of a loner; it’s not that he doesn’t enjoy company, but rather that he finds it easier to work alone. (He may also be trying not to get too attached to any one place, since he wants to wander the whole multiverse.) However, he greatly values his friends, and won’t hesitate to ask others for help if needed.

Wil has an analytical mind: he prefers to observe everything -from people’s behavior to an enemy’s combat style- first and then think of the best course of action. He doesn’t always get that luxury, of course. He may be a little too methodical sometimes.

Appearance: Average-looking adult male, except for his somewhat thick eyebrows. Hair and eyes are black. Dresses according to the situation, usually in green and blue. In general, he’s like this guy:

(Note: That’s Will Raynard from Tales of Legendia, if you don’t know.)

Abilities: Average Level Warrior/High Level Magic User. Knows spells from dozens of worlds, though which ones he can actually use depends on what plane he is at the time (he can use most of them on Earth.) Can see dimensional portals (but not open or close them; he has to find an open one to travel). Prefers a staff as a weapon, but has used others. Has a lot of experience with interdimensional travel.

Background: Born in Puerto Rico, Wil discovered he had magical abilities when he was a child. But his superstitious parents thought that his abilities were evil stuff and forced him to promise he would not use them. However, they died when he was a teenager (of natural causes.) Feeling unhappy living with his other relatives, and believing he no longer needed to keep his promise, he left Earth and began adventuring across other worlds.

Years later, he returned, and made up with his living relatives, though they’re still kind of wary of his abilities. He also met and joined RPGC, and has helped them in many occasions. He currently lives on Puerto Rico but continues to explore other worlds.

That’s basically it. If you have any questions, ask them here!

And the classics return to RPGC.

Count me in, Old timer. You should know me well enough by now… unfortunatley, but let me get your addled mind back up to speed.

Identity: PC Glenton, hi-tech thief, known as the World’s Greatest Thief to those in the right circles.

Personality: Cold, calculating, and unemotionally ruthless, going to either extreme to get what he wants, get the loot, or get rid of any obstacles to his well-being or quality of life.

Appearance: Like my avatar, dresses all in black, with a black trench coat, sometimes shades. Not a husky build, more lithe , but somewhat tall.

Abilities: Sneaking, stealing, skilled with pistols and sniper rifles. Can pick a variety of locks with the right tool, and knows enough about computers and engineering to get where he shouldn’t be. Also street smart, and great at behind the scences work.

Should also point out he is genetically modified, but also very weak to magic, and unable to use any form of the arcane or mystical. Unsure what caused this, but when he finds the people responsible… well, the streets are going to run red with blood.

Background: Its complicated. Very complicated. Lets just say there are certain parties that created him, revived him, betrayed him… and, if you value whatever life you may have left, never ask him what the name Mia on his Sniper Rifle means.

I will let your creative genius take it from here, and look forward to the story.

Nice to see this back up and running Wil. Good thing I had this (mostly) prepared for just such a situation.

Identity- Heaven’s Soldier. HS, or just Soldier, for short. Former honourable merc, now an angelic warrior of RPGC.

Personality- Is a calm, honourable, and dependable warrior, he shows respect to the senior members of RPGC (and female members too) by bowing when introduced. But no one really knows him all that well, since he makes a habit of keeping people at a distance emotionally, due to him feeling responsibly for the death of the last person who he got close with. Part of him prefers it this way, but part of him hates it as well.
Hates to see people being picked on, especially if he believes them as being unable to properly fight for themselves, like children or young ladies, so has often jumped into fights/situations without properly thinking things through.

Appearance- Young adult male. Short styled black hair, blue eyes, white sleeveless shirt, black trousers, silver gauntlets and leg guards. Two katanas strapped down his back.

Abilities- Can form a pair of angel wings on his back, allowing him to fly; in fact he prefers fighting in the air whenever possible.
Although being trained all his early life in the way of the sword, and still caring his trademark katanas, he now fights with his fists and feet, in his own style martial arts. A style he has just about perfected.

He also has access to a few unique spells that enhance his martial arts, but which drain his stamina fairly quickly.
Zephyr - A wind-based version of the typical haste spell. It works best when he is in the air, allowing him to move like the wind itself.
Spark - A spell that charges his gauntlets with lightning power, giving his blows more power. Also has the chance of stunning/paralyzing his foes, and short circuiting most robotic foes.
Radiance - A holy version of spark, that he is still mastering. Fills his gauntlet with holy/light magic, to add more damage to evil foes

Background:- Having worked as a sellsword (mercenary) for a period, HS has taken jobs both for (Xmas ’03) and against (Xmas ’04) RPGC. He then joined up properly with RPGC, to try and become a better person, and warrior. At first main people did not really trust him, because he had worked against RPGC, and how he kept himself very closed off personally. But over the last few years he has shown himself to be a dependable warrior, willing to put his wellbeing on the line to save others, so has gained everyone’s trust. Of course he still doesn’t socialise… outside of the training rooms, that is.

Can always be found at HQ, since he has no home to really return to anymore, doing one of three things. Training, to increase his strength and speed. Meditating, to improve his focus and the capacities of his magical abilities. Sparring, with fellow martial artists, swordsmen, and nearly any other willing RPGC warriors, to perfect his personal style of combat, and to practise fighting warriors with different styles/weapons.

If anyone asks him why he keeps carrying his swords even though he doesn’t fight with them anymore. He simply says “They are to remind me of who I am… and who I could’ve been, if I took the wrong path.” And nothing more.

PS - I also have a few other pics I put together of some of the other regulars to your stories Wil (including you), using an online ‘Hero Creator’, if you want to see them feel free to take a look:
http://s381.photobucket.com/albums/oo253/HeavensSoldier/

Wow, great work, HS! Glad to have you aboard; you too, PC. Hmm, an “angel” and a “thief”; the possibilities are already working in my head… I already have a wicked scene thought out, taking place between my character and PC’s; but, let’s wait until we get a few more people to join. The final team chemistry can carry the story in ways even I can’t predict.

(Btw, sorry I wasn’t on AOL last Sunday, PC; I had to work that day and came home tired. You know us old folk… we need our nap time. )

Hey Wil - I’m going to post my character, but I have a couple changes that’d be sweet if you want to use some of your new writing powers to accompish any some creative way - be on te lookout for a PM.

Congrats on getting your groove back, Wil. How could I not participate?

Identity- GG Crono, the Human Recolor

Personality- In a word: Wiseass. In several words: Never hesitates to provide snarky commentary to any given situation, and is very much a subscriber to the Tao of Peter Parker when in battle. Needless to say, his mouth gets him into trouble more often then not. But beneath the silly exterior lies the proverbial heart of, if not gold, then at least well-polished brass. He’s very much a subscriber to the “screw with the bird and you screw with the flock” philosophy, and woe unto those who mess with his flock. He will not hesitate for a moment to work himself to the bone for those he truly calls friend, with no thought at all toward personal safety.

Appearance- Looks for all the world like a giant walking sprite recolor, and yes, he’s heard all the jokes, thankyouverymuch.

(Damn, I can’t believe I still had this lying around.)

Abilities- He’s got a sword and is not afraid to use it. His only worldly possession is a mysterious katana known as the Starcleaver. The strange shining blade is seemingly indestructible, and for what GG might call a “limit break”, can channel fire magic for a really cool-looking flaming sword effect. It also seems to grant him a measure of skill, for he is completely inept with every other weapon he might get his hands on.

Background: GG began his life as, sadly enough, a stranger with a mysterious past. He woke up in a field somewhere, looking for all the world like a reject from a 13-year-old’s sprite comic, with no memory of his past and a sword in his hand. Angered at the powers-that-be for making his life into such a cliche and trite scenario, he has made a sacred vow to never play Destiny’s game. He might be the last of a forgotten race, an escapee from a secret super-soldier program, or some guy with bad fashion sense who happened to hit his head. GG does not know, nor does he care.

After spending some time with the almost-as-cliche job of “wandering adventurer”, he found a home at the Castle of RPGC, where half the denizens are just as much of a freak as he is, if not more so. The most polite thing one might call his new job is “freeloader”, but generally he can be roused into action when his home needs defending. …if prodded a bit, anyway.

Identity- Leareth, Former Angel of Heaven, now behind-the-scenes second-in-command of Hell, also a high school student.

Personality- Leareth is a strange enough person, with mood swings(going from asshole to caring, loving and apologetic). This is somewhat balanced out and somehow he has become well liked by almost every girl he meets. There are even times he finds himself surrounded by women and has to take a second to think out the chain of events on how he got there.

Leareth is quite a brooding person as well, usually when not doing something to distract himself. His distractions are three-fold; talking with people, writing and, strangest of all, singing. The songs he sings are stuff like “100 Years” or “All My Loving” and he sings them almost spot on in a tenor voice described to him by others as “beautiful”. When in a brooding state, Leareth’s mind usually wanders to thoughts of things like advanced scientific theories and the girl he loves(who he has yet to tell a single person who it is). This is Leareth’s personality.

Appearance- Leareth is about five foot and ten inches, and has a skinny body that is slightly muscled. He has long dirty blonde hair(and I mean hair down to the literal end of his neck and down to his lips in the bangs) and eyes that change color between gray blue and dark blue-green. Leareth’s face his smooth, not a single pimple or piece of facial hair on him, which is strange for someone at his age. Leareth usually wears what seems to be a high school uniform, a white button up shirt with a black shirt over it(he rolls the white shirt’s sleeves up when not wearing the jacket) and black dress pants.

There is also a second form for Leareth, his Fallen Angel form. In that form, Leareth grows black feathered wings about twice his height in span, which forces him to have to not wear a shirt. He also has eyes that burn with hellfire, though it does not actually burn him. This is Leareth’s other half as he is actually an angel that was sent to Hell for rebelling against God and then sent to Earth in the body of a human to study the current times.

Abilities- Leareth’s abilities are strange. He can sing in a beautiful tenor voice and play the piano somewhat well(though he is still learning to play “100 Years” and “She’s Got A Way” on it). He also has acting abilities from joining the theatre every year in his school and some athletic abilities, but he doesn’t work out enough to make that a factor. Leareth is also extremely intelligent, to the point of automatically understanding concepts and making sense of them. He has even been able to string together concepts to increase his knowledge.

When in his Fallen Angel form, Leareth gains more powers, namely he can fly. He also knows almost every dark spell and fire spell known, though it is very draining on him to use any of the extremely powerful ones. Leareth also gains resistance to everything dark and fire, but he becomes weakened to water(his holy resistance stays at normal as he was originally an angel). He also becomes stronger and faster, about triple in each, though he still doesn’t have any martial arts skill(he can street fight very well, though). Another ability of this Leareth is changing his form. He can appear as almost anyone as long as he has touched them. Because of his position in Hell, Leareth is also capable of merging into nearby shadows and disappearing from view. The last, and most unique, of Fallen Angel Leareth’s abilities is the ability to summon lower-level demons from Hell. They are gated in and essentially work to protect Leareth and maybe attack if they see a chance to get away with it(Leareth hates when the circumvent his orders to attack someone). That is the extent of Leareth’s abilities.

Background: Leareth was originally an angel in the service a second generation god named God by it’s worshippers. He eventually joined together with one of the most powerful of the angles, Lucifer, and rebelled against God and not having their own free will. God succeeded in defeating them and he sent them to a dark dimension known as Hell, where Lucifer became the 2.5 generation god of the dimension(there were other gods there).

Leareth became one of the leuitenants to Lucifer and he was delegated to all secretive operations, the ones using espionage and betrayal and deciet. Because of this, Leareth was lost to time, becoming one of the Forgotten as noone was allowed or able to know about him(except for a select few or any of the powerful gods). Leareth eventually was made by Lucifer to do a special job on the RPGC world, he was to study the world as a human and then return to Hell and give Lucifer all the info on it. Leareth accepted this job and was reborn into the body of a human male in a family of three brothers and two parents.

He grew up in this setting and his personality changed to his current one. Leareth also adopted the human name “Peter” and grew up among many friends. Currently, Leareth is in his sophomore year in high school.

Heheh, I’m the only newbie sigining up. XD And just to say, I did not copy anything from HS, it just happened that we something similar in are characters. Another thing to say, the personality is exactly like me and so is the singing. The human form appearence is almost exactly like me(though I have glasses and have yet to find black dress pants and a black overshirt XD).

Identity
Mabatsekker, Finnish Blue Mage Superhero Extraordinaire (Maba, Mabat, My Butt Seeker, The Mab That Seeks. etc.)

Personality
Mabatsekker is an easygoing if a bit reckless hero due to his straightforward approach in heroing. Has a tendency to try to please everyone at once, often stumping his toe when it comes to Galloway. (more on that later) Has a weak spot for Catgirls, and is often found stuffing paper to his nose after a particularly close encounter. A social drinker.

Being a foreigner, Mabatsekker often has differing view or outright bursts of disagreement to the ways how the law handles things in RPGCity. He didn’t quite approve his original capture by the U.N, and has a distaste for bureaucracy.

Appearance- A blue spikey-haired (with a matching goatee) muscular dude who wears his country’s flag as a martial arts uniform, or his alternative “Fighting God or Worse, Are We?”-costume, which affords slightly more protection than mere cloth and reflexes. His hair seems to be in constant defiance of gravity as it dances like a blue flame…

Abilities and Weaknesses
A living conduit of Blue Magic, Mabatsekker has the ability to master any and all forms of magical/psionic/physical abilities if he experiences them or observes them in action. This has a tendency to make him play a more provocative game as enemies will be dumbfounded upon finding their annoying debuffs played upon themselves! It also makes him very unpredictable, as his arsenal may be full of weird and impractical moves, not many have seen all that he has to give.

Mabatsekker has also mastered several forms of martial arts due to his learning aptitude. His main forms are Saikyo, “The Strongest Style” learned from Dan “The Man” Hibiki, which considered absolutely useless by most of Maba’s colleagues and foes, but he manages to surprise everyone every now and then with a few of his own twists to the stylish art.

While Saikyo is considered his main art, he is also highly skilled in Mantis Kung Fu (learned from a genuine Kung Fu master) and Capoeira, which compliments his evasive maneuvers nicely. It also functions as a crowd pleaser in discos! As his drinking binges evolved to the Almost-Tolerant-Of-Galloway levels, Mabatsekker also noticed that he has a remarkable natural talent in The Drunken Fist. This rigorous training has left him muscular, athletic and immune to the regular debilitating effects of a barrel of Vodka. His Nordic roots lend him a natural resistance to the effects of cold and his drinking ability.

Even with all of his willpower and determination, Mabatsekker is still a regular human being who suffers quite horribly in the hands of god and other beings of otherworldly power, not to mention that his mind needs to concentrate to keep all the Azure power in check.

Background:
Bored of the petty criminals in the cold North, young Mabatsekker traveled to Paragon City and made a name for himself combating the seemingly endless wave of villainy. Seeking new challenges, the RPGC Town was like a magnet to his curiousity. A few misadventures later involving Wilfredo Martinez, a sack of rubber boots and an incredible amount of catgirl porn made him convinced enough that he was needed in the RPGC Task Force, much to the chagrin of D Galloway, who seems to have an almost racistic hatred (and an unknown reason for that) of the Blue Mage.

Galloway’s antagonistic presence often makes Mabatsekker turn to the bottle to forget the reminder of his only mistake during the beginning of his career. An overload of Azure Magical Force made his mind become clouded by his pent up anger, and he accidentally killed a foe he was supposed to apprehend. Fortunately, he has had his mind in check for years, but something is still fishy, as the human mind can only handle so much eldritch might during it’s lifespan.

As the Task Force grew in experience and fame, Mabatsekker was eventually joined in the RPGCity by his catgirlfriend, Kat-Chi, who currently resides in the Catgirl District. Their rare opportunities of spending time together (especially the ones where they are cooking) are often interrupted by one or more Task Force Members looking for a warm meal, which the Task Force budget seems to be unable to produce.

All in all, Mabatsekker provides the team with spirit, experience as how a hero should act and the occasional kegger all while trying to survive with his girlfriend in a hostile region of the world.

WHAT THE- GG is a Cat BOY now??? O_O

(If I’m baffled, Mabat must’ve fainted!) :hahaha;

Juuust kiddin’, GG ol’ pal. Great to have you aboard, as well as Maba. And welcome in Leareth! Don’t worry about being a “newbie”, we all were at some point. You wouldn’t believe how nervous I was when I started writing my stories here… I was SO afraid everybody would say, “Hey you! Stop ripping off Galloway, you damn newbie!” But it never happened; even my age didn’t matter, I was always treated well by the RPGC people. My stories are sort of the way I thank them for it, which is why I love doing them.

And hey, any other newbies reading this- jump in, the water’s fine!

BTW, Omega has said he’ll join too. Now, if I can get Galloway and Weiila to join in as well, it’ll be like the old days! HEY, ARE YOU GUYS READING THIS? JOIN IN ALREADY!!

must… shake… catboy… image… from… mind… ::dekar!::

My reaction to catboys is pretty much the same GG’s current avatar is giving out :stuck_out_tongue:

Except Rei. Rei kicks ass.

If it helps at all, my avatar is not exactly a willing catboy.

Identity
Elyseon, Highlord Manus Dei of the Order of the Hand, Champion of Extropia, Dreamwalker, Explorer of the Unknown, General of the Extropian Peacekeeers, Admiral of the Expeditionary Fleet, Honorary Knight of the Order of the White Swan, Justicar of the Knights of Serim. Winner of the Angriest Paladin Award six years in a row. Protector of Small and Cute Things, He Who Bitchslapped Kael’Thas, Compulsive Reader, The Angry Paladin Nerd, He Who Bit Tiamat. Kicker of Usurpers Into Deep Pits. Defenestrator of Stupid Computers.

Personality
Reserved, not very talkative. Usually keeps to himself and doesn’t make the first move in a social interaction. Cannot stand any kind of injustice or evil, has no patience for bullies and cowards, and will speak up if he thinks something is wrong, regardless of the consequences. He can be rough around the edges and difficult to reason with when he flies into righteous indignation, but his heart is in the right place. Loves cute and small animals, the beauty of nature and good music, but also has a fascination for the wonders of science and legendary creatures, from Qilin and dragons to the elusive Golden Sparrow.

However, even he has his limits. He can be prone to great fits of anger when he feels used or betrayed, and can have trouble keeping his emotions in check. He can make rash decisions, rushing into battle to rescue someone dear to him or to confront an enemy who revolts him. He has faced times of great internal turmoil and nearly given up his endless quest once.

Doesn’t like fancy titles, has repeatedly asked not to have any more slapped on him, and has even threatened to use a fire hose on whoever does so. Assertive, headstrong and stubborn as hell. Will not back down and only gets angrier when threatened. Can fly into long, winded rants at the mention of malicious people, emotional manipulation, politicians, especially Republicans, and jerks in general. Has no respect for people who use their power and authority as leverage in a personal dispute. Will never kill an animal unless there is absolutely no other way.

He’s also a dreamer, spending much time in quiet contemplation and pondering the possible futures and the wonders tomorrow may bring.

Appearance

When in RPGC territory he always wears an odd white suit of plate armor, which looks medieval in some ways and futuristic in others. It completely covers his form, though one can see a blue glow through the black visor and he makes no secret of the white feathery wings he’s had for quite some time now. He usually carries a shining blade that can instantly change its form, usually taking the shape of a longsword or greatsword. He’s got a tall, well worked frame and can be rather imposing or intimidating when he’s angry.

Abilities and Weaknesses

His training and evolution have given him incredible strength, agility and stamina, as well as wings capable of supersonic flight. His intellect is considerable, though his inspiration is fickle and his performance can be greatly influenced by his mood. He has a natural affinity with divine energy, channeling and harnessing it with great ease, though at times his own power can startle him. That power has countless applications, ranging from healing, resurrecting others and establishing empathic links to projecting searing blasts that incinerate all evil and react explosively to the darkness in the souls of others.

He possesses the ability to access a realm of existence created and shaped by the hopes and dreams of all sentient creatures, and is capable of reaching into the world within a being’s soul. He also possesses sharp psychic abilities, capable of producing telekinetic energy blasts, telepathic communication telekinetic manipulation of objects. He’s actually capable of sculpting materials with his mind, and handling psychoreactive substances is second nature to him.

He also has an affinity to magic and knows his way around it, though he doesn’t use it often. His connection to life around him makes him extremely sensitive to the Force, though he’s afraid of learning its more destructive aspects, since his mind has reacted wildly in times of great emotional distress and inner turmoil, causing potentially dangerous ripples of energy around him.

When he’s angry or distressed his powers tend to become stronger, but he can have trouble controlling that strength. He’s afraid of accidentally harming innocents, but so far nothing of the sort has happened, since he’s become much calmer and more focused over the years. However, one only needs to threaten the innocent or those he cares about for a flicker of rage to light up in his eyes, promising the wrath of the heavens.

Unfortunately he tends to feel all emotions more intensely than normal, which can lead to moments of intense joy, but also to excruciating suffering. Though immortal and gifted with healing powers and the ability to regenerate any injury, emotional suffering can leave him severely drained and unable to do much. The combination of his shyness with his empathic abilities also leaves him extremely sensitive to other people’s emotions, and he can get nervous and make silly mistakes when he’s trying to talk to someone he holds in very high regard.

Background
A wanderer with a craving for adventure, he heard the call and traveled the multiverse, looking for wrongs to right, beauty to preserve and the meaning of life. He has crossed paths with hundreds of heroes on countless worlds, seen great wonders, and the best and the worst mortals are capable of. Along the way he began to evolve, his features becoming increasingly celestial. General consensus is that this is a result of his true self emerging, as he’s straightforward, with pure intentions, and incapable of deceit.

A self-taught paladin, he watched over the innocent in the Master’s name, smiting the wicked but also looking after those who could not stand up for themselves.
In this he was aided by the heroes he encountered, but also by a few very special beings: The Lady Seraphia, Elise, born from the same light as his soul and a constant companion in his journey. Her mere presence gives him strength and inspires him to new heights. ; Aeon, the Cyber Seraph, once a sentient computer, and now the first of a new breed of living machines. A dedicated and true defender of the Light and a warden of life. ; Somber Noctus, the Seeker of Balance, an immortal Force user who believed himself to be a gardener of the cosmos, weeding out the vile, and recently became somewhat milder in his approach. ; Valorian Ankar, the Prime Guardian, a legendary warrior and percursor of the Order of the Hand when the cosmos was young. ; Lady Serim, a goddess who was once a sentient star, and now watches over life and civilization.

Along the way, he has studied martial arts, swordsmanship, science, medicine, philosophy, strategy, history and archaeology. He’s also an avid reader, especially of fantasy and science fiction, though he also keeps a large collection of digitized comic books and movies. Old habits die hard, and from his days on Earth he keeps his craving for good classical music, his fondness of tea, his sweet tooth and his enjoyment of videogames.

Not many people know what exactly he’s doing in RPGC from time to time, since he’s reserved because he feels that most people neither respect nor understand him. When he’s edgy and annoyed at one of the locals he tends to act cold and indifferent, but if exasperated he can challenge his detractors to various competitions to prove he’s not intimidated. He has a deep reverence for Weiila and gets along with a few of the more sensitive people, but he keeps his personal relations out of public sight because, in his own words, it’s nobody’s damn business.

Lately he’s been trying to write a book about the meaning of life and the path to happiness, but something’s been bothering him and preventing him from getting past the preface. In the meantime he’s been waiting for Sir Percival to show up, not having heard from him in a while. In the meantime he’s been brushing up on his combat skills, disguised with a white gi, a cloth over his face, his wings retracted into his body and bandages wrapped around his fists.

hey, Wil. I’ll sign up, but it’ll take me a while to get this right, since Val’s… changed, lately.

Sure thing, V. Why do you think I ask for new entries every year? To give everyone the chance to update their characters. (That, and written permission to use them.)

If possible though, it would be interesting to see some more character interaction alongside the main plot. I don’t mean to tell you how to write your stories, but personally I’d probably try to portray the interactions that would likely take place when such characters end up spending time together.

Well, I recall being in these before, so…why not? I’ll pop back into existence just long enough to sign up.

Although I’ll need some time to come up with a new profile as well.

Alright, just to shut Wil up…

<b>Identity</b>

d Galloway

<b>Personality</b>

Generally cold and snarky, with a slightly wicked sense of humor. He mostly keeps to himself, and takes his position as a guard very seriously. In battle, however, he tends to snap and angrily lash at whoever he’s fighting, often to their considerable pain and suffering.

As far as RPGC members go, he’s had more than a few issues with Wil in the past (mostly because Martinez has handed him his ass every time he went rogue). He also has a major problem with Blue Mages, and therefore Mabatsekker, although the reasons for these feelings are unknown. He once had an unrequited love for Weiila, but has since turned those feelings into sheer bitterness. His ability to go Super Saiyan followed soon after.

<b>Appearance</b>

Galloway is dressed in a silver suit of steel armor, with a red shirt and tan pants underneath. He also wears silver grieves and leather boots, just to finish off the ensemble. His hair is a light red, spikey mess of a thing, sharpened to the point of digging someone’s eyes out. His eyes are hidden behind a pair of pure black sunglasses, which he wears at all times.

<b>Abilities and Weaknesses</b>

Galloway’s training has primarily focused on ki control and attacks. Nearly all of his techniques require him to channel into his inner life force to augment or project the attack. Besides his general energy beams and blasts, he is also capable of flight. Finally, he is able to transform into a Super Saiyan when absolutely needed.

However, his excessive reliance on ki attacks has rendered him both poorly-prepared in terms of actual close combat (especially compared to the likes of Mabat), and in the internal damage inherent with using ONE’S LIFE FORCE in beating up an opponent. Furthermore, he has a great weakness to magic, and has been turned to stone more times than he cares to name.

Oh, and don’t get him near Vegeta. Really. Don’t do it.

<b>Background</b>

Galloway’s past is shrouded beneath a thick cloud of amnesia. A year ago, he was able to uncover a few slight shreds of memory, indicating that he was a Saiyan that had betrayed his own prince and fled, but otherwise still remains oblivious to what’s happened. It doesn’t really matter anymore, either; he ended up blending into RPGC’s oddball ways rather easily, and is at home there more than anywhere else.

Over the course of his time with his fellow men, he has run the gambit, from reclusive loner to puppet of a fallen god to a Super Saiyan’s bitch. He also harbors a deep hatred of Blue Mages for some reason, which puts a strain on his relationship with Mabatsekker. However, he is still dependable for the most part, and will help when need be.

I know that’s not a whole lot, but I’m really quite tired now, for reasons that do not include Fallout 3.

Manus: I always try to present the characters as more than simple personal Avatars, and make the stories more than long fight scenes. Whether I succeed is a matter of opinion…

Sairan: Nice to see you again, and sure, you can take your time; you can even join AFTER the story starts, though it’s easier for me if I know who will participate from the start. I’m still waiting for Val and Omega’s characters, and I’m going to bug Weiila to join in as well. Still, I want to start by December at the latest.

Galloway: Actually, our characters fought only once (in my stories, anyway) and I barely won, in fact Weiila saved my life. (No Mary Sues allowed here! )

Btw, you (and everyone else) can update their entries if you come up with new ideas later. Just let me know so I can read them, OK?

Just added a couple of things on the background section that might give you some ideas for the character.

Identity- The Valkyrie Esker. Val to her friends. Goes by plenty of other names, but no reason to list them.

Personality- Val is a very complex, and conflicted person who hides it behind the facade of drinking and brawling and screwing anything that moves. She reacts quickly, albeit grudgingly, to combat and emergency situations, And although loyal to her friends, she’s become much more withdrawn in recent times. There’s talk of a new lover, but she always speaks vaguely about him - or her - to other people, since the mysterious person doesn;t belong here. She spends time at RPGC these days mostly for a sense of “it’s what I do”, rather than “it’s where I belong.” Friends come and go, and she barely knows any of the newcomers who tend to show up.

Appearance- Val is perpetually in the form of a beautiful young woman, in her early twenties. She keeps her blonde hair cut short - it keeps people from grabbing it in battle - and is often seen wearing antiquated armor that nonetheless does it’s job. And it is rare indeed when she is seen without her beloved Gungnir. When not in battle garb, though, she tends to dress in the modern fashion - always the relaxed look, of course. a black shirt and jeans are common.

Abilities- Val is one of the deadliest melee fighters in the multiverse. She has olympic-level gymnastic abilities and incredible strength, known to sometimes punch a hole in rock when she gets really pissed. Her strength lies in ehr experience, and her mastery of every form of combat - she’s best-versed in polearms, most notably her use of Gungnir, the ancient javelin of Odin, but is also a proficcient swordswoman (broadsword and rapier; she never touches katanas if she can help it), and well-trained in axes, bows, staves (battle staves, not those sissy magic staves), and true hand-to-hand combat. She knows some martial arts, but she acts more like a boxer, prefering to brawl in a more freeform style than most can anticipate.

Background: Val was once a valkyrie, serving as Chooserof the Slain for Odin’s warriors, seding them off to Valhalla if they are worthy, or to hel if they are not. Eventually, she grew tired of this, and longed for mortality once more. It was granted, but with a blessing - or rather, a curse. Val is to stay forever in her prime, never aging a day in body, and shall neer die, lest slain in true combat. She can shrug off any poison - thought to be why she can ingest massive amounts of alcohol and not give a damn - although the truly powerful ones can slow herdown enough for one to make the killing blow. In a way, this has actually lead to constant changes in her personality, depending on whether she feels manic, or depressive.

Okay, I think that covers everything.
