Eagerly awaits Cid’s screams of overworked agony
As probably the biggest FFIV fanboy out there, I must say I am so very intrigued by this, even though I don’t think it really wasn’t that much of a gap in the story. She spent years studying in the land of the summoned beasts.
Well at least it’s a side story and not another god fuckled remake.
FRUSTRATION…BUILDING.
Dear me, I’ve been deprived of another passionless and unreflective expansion on a game I once enjoyed. If only Square would translate this superfluous baggage it hangs upon old games into English, so that I could participate in sideplots that were once deemed too generic and bereft of inspiration to be worthy of game time. There is nothing like purchasing a single-player RPG whose storyline has roughly the same potential to incite thought and feeling as that of an MMORPG, minus other players to share it with. I think that I will drop everything I’m doing and inform Square that I was left unsatisfied by the hours of emotionless button-pressing that were required to pointlessly max out FF12’s license grid, that had more in common with the study of intellectual property than with the simulation of combat experience, and demand that we Westerners be privy to more hours of navigating sophisticated closed systems full of laughably pale imitations of actual humans.
If you don’t like JRPGs, stop playing them. >:(
The reason I passionately hate Square’s current game-making practices is that I love their older games just as fervently, and am bitter that corporate culture has infiltrated and ruined the FF franchise.
Hey people, that game has goblins. That should count for something.
More seriously, I feel for people who are completionists with FF (of all series) or have to play all these games for various reasons waves to Cid.
Well, I’m not playing this one. I’ve given up on being completionist… I haven’t played FFXI, CC, or any of the cell phone stuff.

You’re free to your opinion, of course. Me, I liked FFXII just fine; it had its faults, but then so do the older games, quite a lot of them. I like the new ones about as much as the old ones.
Yay! QFT.
On the other hand, a game all about moogles would pwn. Let’s have it.
Careful there, DR – anything can be done badly. Especially since “a game all about moogles” is such a vague description it could describe just about any possible game except with moogles as the characters. suddenly imagines Devil May Cry except with Dante as a moogle
Mognet Heroes!
A lone moogle mailman trying to make deliveries in a world populated by housepets with a fervent dislike for mailmen.
Zelda spin-off. The mailman recruiting Moogles and trying to teach them the job. Deliver mail with the Wiimote! Moogles: Gotta catch them all! Use together with WiiFit and fit into your old pants!
(I wish I’d never thought of that)
And Moogle parodies of current and classic games.
Super Mooglio Bros.
Moogle Fighter II
Tetroogle
Katamari Demoogle
Haloogle
Moogle of War
Guitar Moogle with a moogle shaped guitar controller
What’s wrong with the new FF games?
FFX is probably my favorite game of all time next to Lunar and Earthbound.

I don’t have a problem with the new FF games (9-10-12) at least, not much. My problem is how they need to shamelessly milk existing franchises with shitty remakes and sequels, thus killing the older games legacies. I hate FFVII now and it used to be one of my favorite games.
You could have just, you know… NOT PLAYED THE REMAKES.
You could just, you know… deal with other people’s opinions.
