And now my bookmarks are disappearing > <

Yet another chapter in my neverending struggle with my computer. ::dekar!::

My bookmarks just vanished from my Mozilla Firebird browser, which is the one I’ve been using for over a year now. The ones on IE and Netscape are still there, but most of them are outdated.

This happened a few weeks ago, but at the time I was having other PC problems, so I figured it was a side effect. I had to find all the websites I had listed all over again… and now I’ll have to do it AGAIN.

What’s the cause? A virus? A Mozilla defect, or some setting I don’t know about? Anybody know?

Oh, btw, I STILL haven’t installed the new CPU fan. The old one won’t come off! I guess I have the wrong screwdriver… I’ll try with a multiple-head one, and hope one of them works. -_-

Possibly spyware run adaware se and spybot search and destroy with the newest updates.

Spyware surely does not erase your bookmarks.

edit: after some research, I think it’s probably a problem with your Mozilla profile.

This guy had about the same problem: http://ask.metafilter.com/mefi/6205

What version? In the old versions the profile would sometimes lock, and Mozilla Firefox would create a new one; leaving any bookmarks in the old.

Um, all I know is that it’s Firebird (I think it was the last version before Firefox.) Maybe I should just use Firefox instead. Umm, it’s still free, right?

I’m Free!!
