I used to like some of that boy band stuff. I still have that Backstreet Boys “Millenium” CD. I actually like it, it’s got a lot of cool slow songs on there, like “Show me the meaning of being lonely”.
I have waaaaaaay too many CDs to count them. Right now I have two 24 CD cases of the CDs I carry around with me…and those are just the ones I listen to. I have dozens upon dozens more in my CD box.
Oh, CDs, yea. Well, I don’t really need to carry cds (or a cd player) now that I have my ipod, but I had a 25 pack that I carried around of stuff that I always listen too (and that’s all bought and paid for CDs), and a 75 pack that is stuff I tend to take with me out on trips (and that’s about 50% bought and paid for CDs, the rest being burnt and mix cds.)
I don’t think it’s a “sad” song, but I like it because it isn’t fast or hard or anything like that. It’s just soft and melodic to a point, where the intensity of the song increases, however the meaning stays the same. I’ve never thought of boy bands as “bad music”, nor have I ever been embarassed that I like(d) that kind of music, and I don’t think anybody else should either. Who cares what kind of music you like? You don’t like it? Fuck off and move along.
