Has anyone besides me seen any of this series? Its an interesting concept. Its kind of based on the original 0079 one year war, but instead of the Zeon dropping one colony they drop thousands and turn Earth into a wasteland. Of course the bad guys are called the Zeons, its an Alternate Timeline thing but its more a What-If thing then anything. I’ve seen the first 14 of 39 eps so far and its is an excellent Gundam series, easily one of my favorites. Think the Gundams and battles from Wing mixed with the politics of 0079 and add in some Mercenary pilot stuff and you’re close to what Gundam X is. I’ll post some more about it if anyone’s interested. I’d really recommend this one, as it is a DAMN good anime.
I saw it a few years ago, and really liked it. Tifa nudie scene, whee!!! (“whee” no longer. I’ve aged. Must say, just off the side, people hated Rilena. I know that’s Wing, but whenever I think Gundam, I think (after picture Char’s red Zaku II) “people hated Tifa”)
Yeah, anyway, I did like it, but I still think Wing, the Original, and Seed are better. I will say, that the X Gundam’s superweapon puts anything from the other series to shame.
I originally saw the series on fansubbed tapes. If you could tell me as to where I could ahem, acquire better versions, I’d be infinitely greatful.
Yeah, I started looking seriously for this series a while ago after hearing about it. Looked pretty cool.
www.downloadanime.org has a few torrents. Not much though, it’s kinda hard to find Gndam torrents of the older series.
As I mentioned in another thread, I lost contact with the series after ZZ Gundam. (I’ve seen G Gundam, but let’s face it, that was POWER RANGERS in disguise; Gundam Wing I couldn’t stand for more than one episode; and I guess SD Gundam doesn’t count. :hahaha; )
Ahem Still, I greatly respect the care with which the original series was made. I would like to know more about X, especially if it involves characters or situations from the original.
DVD quality eps, they’ve only got through episode 21 translated though. Or you could get the older, crap quality ones off of Kazaa. I believe the Suteki-Yume’s irc channels on irc.rizon.net, #suteki-yume, and there’s a bot in #AnimezX (AnimezX|GX) that has the episodes all for download. Except for a couple that are corrupted.
I would like to see Gundam X. I’ve heard mixed feeling on it. I know it was cancelled in Japan…probably happened for a reason. I loved Gundam 0079 and Zeta, so if it’s anything like it than I can’t wait for it. I also heard V Gundam is good.

The only problem with the Suteki Yume subs is that the video is really jerky. So I’m sticking to the craptastical older ones simply because its the exact same translation only not as spectacular quality but the picture is nice and smooth.
Whenever I think of Gundam X, I think of Sailor Moon…

hmm… it seems there’s also a game fo rthis in america, yet the anime was never brought over here to the states in english (to my knowledge)
