Advent children news. Again!

He looks suprizingly sance for someone who slept in a coffin for 5 years

Man, why does Yuffie have to be in the movie? She bugged me. And that part in FF7 where she takes all your materia just made it worse.

All well, at least she’s got a new costume. No more of that freaky arm whatever-it-is and that metal gate-lookin thing on her leg. (Or is that FFX Rikku? I can’t remember…) I also think black suits her better, personally.

you must have some sort of eye issue

According to this scan, the kid’s name is Denzel and he’s infected/recovering/something from this disease that the film’s supposed to be based around.

its not that she isnt physically attractice in that picture, its that she doesnt look like yuffie. yuffie wasnt that swarthy.

…she’s a video game character, she’s not real…

:hahaha;

shes as real as the lady in the playboy centerfold. plus like 39 times lovelier. also, on an even more attractive note, when a character is fictional its easy to create her own personality for her. i know there are plenty of girls who might be quite beautiful were they not horrible people. with yuffie, we know so little of her officially that our imaginations can fill in whatever is missing to create our own individual yuffie. i for instance like yuffie more than you, say, because i have created a better yuffie than you. and actually that goes for porno models too i suppose, its just that porno institutions so sparingly feature cutiepies of yuffies caliber.

That’s what I think too, a good thing about fictional characters is that you can model them to your liking.

FINAL FANTASY VII ADVENT CHILDREN is a fully developed, CG-work sequel to FINAL FANTASY VII, the seminal 1997 PlayStation hit. Through 70 minutes of beautifully crafted DVD content, FINAL FANTASY VII ADVENT CHILDREN revisits the rich universe and memorable characters of FINAL FANTASY VII two years after its dramatic conclusion. Technological advancements bring a visually stunning new look to the city of Midgar and its residents.

70 minutes. Thats all.

And where did you get that piece of information?

July 30 news release frome Square-Enix:

If you don’t suffer from a short attention span and don’t mind some spoilers, here is a description and a review of AC’s 25 minutes screener at the Venice International Film Festival.

There is one thing that really bugs me – inconsistency re: the length of AC. In July 30 news release by SE, the movie was 70 minutes long, at the Festival it became “original intended length of about 45 minutes” and now “Advent Children may be in fact four times as long as the preview we saw this weekend.” That would bring the movie past the hour and a half mark, the average of most major motion pictures.
Release date? “The newly adjusted date for Advent Children is Spring 2005”. But I wouldn’t bet on it.

i hope it’s 1.5 - 2 hours long… i like long movies…

Most major movies are like past the 2 hour mark…

My apologies for reviving the old thread, but I thought this was kind of fun. I wish I was there and it happened last month:

For a few weeks we had planned a gathering for the people of Advent Children’s forum. Many from Quebec and Ontario and a few from the United States would gather to see the 20 minute presentation of Advent children, at the FCMM in Montreal, Quebec.

Audience’s reaction after 20 minutes of pure bliss:

It took about a few seconds before the crowd exploded in applause and screams.
Sorry if I deafened a few people, I just couldn’t resist screaming a few times. (which I still want to do, a few days later)
I bet, she does.

One thing that bugs me though (I already posted this 2 months ago) - discrepancies concerning the length of AC: when it was shown at the 61st Venice International Film Festival on September 4, I was hoping for at least an hour and a half film:

As far as length is concerned, Tetsuya Nomura tells us that since they are still finishing many of the combat scenes and have yet to make the final cuts, that Advent Children may be in fact four times as long as the preview we saw this weekend. That would bring the movie past the hour and a half mark, the average of most major motion pictures, and over double the original intended length of about 45 minutes.

Now, at the Montreal Film Festival, AC was shortened:

they said it was work in progress and that the final product would be 70-80 minutes long. However, at the second screening, it was down to 60-70 minutes long.
Let’s hope SE will not cut it even more when AC is released.

a little souvenir
6$ Canadian!!! It’s about 5$ US. A real bargain for what you get.

Damn the Canadians!!
