you might have gotten a corneal abraisian from something, that’s happened to me a coupe times, if you have, just close the eye or patch it for about a day, and rest it as much as you can for a week or so.
The contacts remark reminded me of my old lenses. I used to wear gas permeable lenses, but with the way they wore and my blinking lines, I ended up with dry spots on each side of my irises. A couple of times one would be bad off enough to develop into a spot infection - I’d have a white dot on my iris, then I’d have to get prescription drops and not wear contacts for several days. UGH.
Thank goodness I was able to switch to soft lenses later.
