666 posts. Time for a Satanism Thread

You thought I was kidding when I talked about this, huh?

Here is a brief History of Satanism, as originally written on the official Church of Satan Website. The Church of Satan was founded by Anton LaVey(Thanks to GAP/Loki for giving me that information) There are nine parts to this history on the Church of Satan website. I will post the first three parts here, and link to the history afterwards

The rest of the history can be found at the Church of Satan Homepage, in the link provided here

Below is a Brief history on the use of the Sigil of Baphomet in the Church of Satan

The pictures that are talked about can be found here.

I will also provide some other Informational links as well as links to other Satanic Websites. This is not meant to endorse Satanism, but rather to Inform those who have heard Christianity’s stance, and not the other side.

Anton LaVey: A Biographical Sketch
Grotto Virtual Reality
Legion Of Loki
Rick A. Ross Institute Information on Satanism
The Harrowing: Satanism In the Catholic Church(I am not making this up)

Yes, most of this is taken from other sites. I am not a good essay writer.

And now I leave you with this closing message.

\m/ SMOKE WEED AND WORSHIP TEH DEV0L!!!one111!!!11! ;p \m/

Thanks to all who took their time to read this.

They left out the part when Satan joined the computer industry with a company called Microsoft. I guess that’s common knowledge now. :stuck_out_tongue:

Not to mention McDonalds. :stuck_out_tongue:

Interesting read

You’ve done a great job on making a huge thread on satanism and not explaining what it is. Bravo. :stuck_out_tongue:
If I may:
<a href=“http://www.churchofsatan.com/Pages/NineStatements.html”> The nine satanic statements</a>
<a href=“http://www.churchofsatan.com/Pages/Eleven.html”>The eleven satanic rules of the earth</a>
<a href=“http://www.churchofsatan.com/Pages/Sins.html”>The nine satanic sins</a>
Those should be the basics. My personal favorite is the only article written by Peggy Nadramia, which sure explains how she became Magistra:
<a href=“http://www.churchofsatan.com/Pages/DarkLove.html”>My dark satanic love</a>.
That, and Magistra Templi Rex Blanche Barton’s <a href=“http://www.churchofsatan.com/Pages/Satfem.html”>Satanic feminsism</a>. You get a nice insight into the mentality in both articles.

EDIT: Forgot the most basic article, written by LaVey himself: <a href=“http://www.churchofsatan.com/Pages/MostPower.html”>The world’s most powerful religion</a>

Cheater. You put up links. 8p I a t least tried to quote various parts of the Church of Satan Website, but I decided I didn’t want anyone scrolling for ten minutes. Besides, I already linked to the Church of Satan Website. several times.

Just kidding, thanks for providing extra shit for the thread.

My original post was only about the history of Satanism, and not about it’s practices/guidelines, as I do not practice Satanism. Though some people I know think otherwise.

This is reminding me of that episode in Rocko’s Modern Life with that devil guy named Peaches…

He was in several episodes actually, kirokokori.

Congratulations on your 666th post. Hoorah! Now, for some historical Devil Worship.

You are EVIL, BLASPHAMOUS people.

OK.

Sorry, but you are. I hope your GALBLADDERS get eaten by ZOMBIES!
Somebody close this forum before they’re SMITEN!!!

Evil. Blasphemous. Yeah, I could have told you that to begin with. But thanks for the compliment. ^^ After all, hell is reserved for those who believe in it.

As for me posting links instead of quoting: just a habit of mine. I like it more if people post links and give a short description and evaluation of the content than quoting large amount of texts which I have to read through; it’s just easier to decide what you want to read. DT lazy.

Some things are worth standing up for

Yeah. Like satan. stands up

Well, I’m not a Satanist… but if you even had half a brain, you wouldn’t dismiss LeVayan Satanism, the anti-religion which really in all essence has nothing to do with Satan.

Satanism seems like a reactionary response to Christianity. A lot of Satanic symbols and ideas merely take something out of one religion and put it in reverse. I read their commandments, or whatever you call them, but they all boil down to the same concept: Do what you want and don’t feel bad about it. Be greedy and pride yourself on your individuality and you’re a satanist – ta daaaa!!! As for having half a brain to not dismiss Anton – well, he’s dead anyway, and his church of satan in san francisco was bulldozed a year or two ago for not being able to afford the rent (they were barely getting by on selling satanic T-shirts, rings, and other merchandise). There’s nothing scary or despicable about this religion – if you can call it that.

Yeah, that’s more what I was trying to say. But I was saying that he had less than half a brain for going “ahh! Satan! EVIL! BLASPHEMER! BAA BAA!” I don’t particularly like Satanism, since I’m not an atheist like most of them. :stuck_out_tongue:

Satanism, huh? I wonder if they realize that satan is, well, evil. Or is that what they’re going for?

I think their point goes more along the lines of doubting whether or not Satan truly is evil rather than praising him. I mean, as opposed to Christianity where the entire purpose is to praise God, Satanisim (from what I read just now) seems more aligned with basic common sense. Besides the parts about destroying those that annoy you.

“I don’t paticulary like Satanism” is like saying “I don’t particulary like what Hitler did”
