anyone know why they got rid of that screensaver on XP? Or perhaps where I could download it for all of my screensaving needs?

That was a good screensaver, especially with the psychadelic selections. I used to watch that screensaver all the time in my intro to computers class in the sixth grade, while the teacher was talking about something.
Cause it made the graphics of Wolfenstein 3D look good. The game was awesome of course.
In one of my computer classes Freshman year the guy next to me and I used to have races to see which of us could finish the maze faster. For some reason I won WAY MORE than he did.
You could actually control that?..
On the topic of screensavers, the best one in my opinion is the Flying Toasters screensaver, originally for macintosh but you can download it for windows now. Also the old screensaver with leaves on the screen and fuzzy catipillars crawling along the screen was cute as well.

I liked the 3D maze. It was fun to watch.
Though I always get annoyed that it goes the wrong way.
Starfield is my favorite one. In fact, after the secret ending after the credits in FFVII, it shows a starfield like the screensaver and plays Prelude, right?
And why do so many of you dislike the maze?

That’s still included in xscreensavers for the X Windows Server. I see it from time to time. It’s quite nice.

My old favorite was the line that snaked all over the screen.
I never did play the Oregon Trail, I got stuck with the Amazon Trail instead.(from what I can remember it was not a bad game)
I don’t know about oregon Trail, but I used to play Oregon Trail 2 back in elementary school. Awesome game. The only kids game I know of that lets you shoiot things with bullets.
We didn’t control the maze. We just started the preview at the same time to see who would get to the smiley first.
And tril, that thing wont work as a screensaver. It just opens the maze.

Man, I remember playing the old Oregon Trail in school. It wasn’t even the good version with the crosshair hunting, there was a man in the center of the screen and the animals would dart around the edges behind rocks and trees and bushes so you couldn’t get to them before they dogded off the screen.
