Happy Eleveterans Day.

So what are you doing this Eleveterans Day (aside from playing Skyrim)?

I’m not even playing Skyrim. I never really cared much for the Elder Scroll series. Or rather, I used to try and play them but every time I did the game just sucked all energy out of me and I just didn’t feel like playing anymore. (And, strangely enough, I have the same problem with the Baldur’s Gate games. The thing is, I really want to play them, because they’re great. But every time I try to sit down and play, I can’t get much further than the introduction before I’m almost ready to fall asleep because I just lose all energy and will to play immediately.)

Mostly I’ve been watching some Let’s Plays and replaying Mass Effect 2. I’m also working on not sucking as much in Sword of the Stars.
Well, that and reading CYOA threads at Touhou Project.

My mother’s goddaughter was thinking of going to the same college I went to, and there were of course no official tours going on, so I gave them a bit of a tour.

Also, Homestuck Act 6 began, but that has taken up a total of, I dunno, six minutes and twelve seconds of my time since there’s only been two updates and I’m not an obsessive fan who ABSOLUTELY MUST SPEND EVERY WAKING MINUTE OF MY DAY on the MSPA forum.

Most of the rest of my day has been spent playing Saints Row 2.

Middle of End of Term Exam Hell here, so… anguishing and revising, mostly. But also playing the new Rune Factory.

I finally placed the new and final hiding spots for my spiders. They are quite large, but they’ll be content as they grow larger.

Here’s Fluffy

And there’s Ginger. She wasn’t too happy when I removed her rock and now she’s sulking in the top corner. She’ll get over it in time

All I need to add is a stone water dish like Fluffy’s and their enclosures will be completely similar. I’m just waiting till she molts once or twice so she’s less likely to drown accidentally.

Slept nearly 11 hours (passed out sometime about 8:30ish last night).

Played some more Xenoblade (tempted to get Skyrim).

Debated on what to do today.

Got nowhere with the above, so played some more Monster Hunter 2. Finally got the damn shipyard upgraded after what seemed like forever.

Looked up stuff on how to get rid of the Google redirect virus (somebody else has it; I gotta fix it), and watched wonky Bear physics at work in Skyrim.

Worked on my Nanowrimo novel, mostly. And posted “ELEVENSIES” as a facebook status, because I’m into hilariously old-fashioned memes.

One of my patients was so happy to see me she nearly went into respiratory failure.

I was thinking about somebody who must have felt very silly last night. The guy who had spray painted “11th November 2011: JUDGEMENT DAY!” on one of the churches in Stockholm this summer.

I wound up not doing anything but a little shopping yesterday, but I did get some egg nog out of it so it wasn’t a complete loss.

On the plus side though, I’ve got little over a week left of college and then I’m done with my Bachelors in Computer Science (programming emphasis). Then I can kick back, relax, and start begging for work.

Congrats! Why is your semester over so early?

I took my Attorney’s Oath.

I watched the first Power Rangers movie and drank every time it was the '90s.

^Man, how are you even standing right now?

It’s a twelve week course. I started this semester back in mid August.

The best part about all this is that I’ll be all done with this just in time for Skyward Sword’s release, so I’ll actually have the time to play through that at my leisure (well aside from putting together a new resume and looking for job openings in places I can actually reach since I lack viable transportation methods and reliable alternatives).

I had classes, then work. Great excitement.

I realized that 11 is definitely not my lucky number! :frowning:

To be fair, that post was made the next day. I was not nearly so coherent that night.

I picked out my wedding cake.

Black Forest babe!

:kissy:

The Portal cake? :open_mouth:

Math teacher workshop at the school I teach at. Fun way to spend that day. One of my classmates paused the workshop to announce that it was almost 11:11 am and we should get ready to make a wish.
